hey! another update in the same month? omg, is she on crack??
thanks for hanging on with me. here's another sucky chapter.
also, wish me luck because i'll probably fail my math exam... (which is a total -GASP- WHAT YOU SAY moment because i'm asian etc stereotype etc)
Also. This story... has about... um... Ten more chappies to go? I don't know. Just a heads up. Happy End of May, people.
Skye’s POV:
I had no life.
It’s sad actually. Friday night and I was sitting at home with nothing to do. I was pretty sure I’d strummed the same opening bar at least forty times already, but I couldn’t find the will to go on. I couldn’t even call up my boyfriend to go out because----oh yeah---- I didn’t have one anymore!
Fridays suck
I hate Fridays
That is all
I laughed at myself, which was pretty pitiful, and a sure sign that I was going crazy. Whatever. Not like anyone was here to see me.
I’ve been stuck, now, so, long
We just got the start wrong
One, more, last, try
I’mma get the ending right
You, can’t, stop, this
And I must insist that
You haven’t had enough
You haven’t had enough
Sighing softly, I reached over and slid unlock on my phone. “What’s up?”
“Hey, Skye,” Shane’s voice said. “How are you doing?”
I frowned at the air. “What’s with the formal greeting?”
“Uh, well, it’s Friday night…”
“I have a calendar, thanks,” I snapped.
“Jesus, is it that time of month?” he snapped back.
There was a pause, and then we both burst out laughing. We shared a weird friendship, what could I say?
“So, why are you calling on said Friday night?” I asked, more nicely. “Shouldn’t you be out partying like the hot band members you are?”
“Shouldn’t you be out instead of shut up inside your room?” he countered just as quickly. “Hey, you think I’m hot?”
“How did you know what I’m doing?” I said, ignoring his last comment. For some reason, I felt my cheeks heating up, which was silly. I glanced at my windows, which were closed and the blinds were shut. Not that I thought he was creeping outside my window.
Though they did break in from there last time.
“You just told me, honey,” he said, a smirk in his voice. “So how about it? Hang out with us?”
“What are you guys up to?” I questioned cautiously.
“Well… there’s quite a few choices. Breaking into people’s houses, robbing a bank, prank calling the President, stuffing ourselves with gummy worms-----”
“Partayyyy!” Kevin’s voice came from the other end.
I rolled my eyes. “Is he drunk?”
“Not yet,” replied Shane honestly. He paused for a second. “We’re here. Come out tonight, Skye.”
