On the Road Again || Luke Hemmings

Part Twenty-Seven

"Come on Luke! If you still wanna go trick-or-treating later we need to go find some costumes." I groaned. It was already noon and me and Luke still dont have our costumes figured out yet. I trudged out of my bathroom and saw that Luke was still in bed. "Are you kidding me Luke? We have to goooo." I whined. "But your bed is so comfortable." He mumbled. I shook my head and went over to the bed and layed on top of him. "Luke we have to go. Come on. We told Emily and Calum that we'd go out with them tonight." I said, pecking his pouting lips. He instantly wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into him more. He tangled his legs with mine and looked at me sleepily, with a small smirk on his face. "Half hour nap?" He asked, grinning. I groaned and rolled my eyes at him, before finally rested my head on his chest. "Fine. Half hour nap."

"Baby." I said and poked Lukes cheek. It's almost 2:30 and Luke is still asleep. Half hour nap my ass. I kicked his leg and felt him squirm a little bit. "Lukeyyyyy." I whined. "Hmm?" He mumbled. "Get up.We have to go." I said, sitting up and tugging on his arm. "Okay finnneee." He groaned and sat up as well. I smiled brightly at him before hopping out of bed, dragging him up with me. "Ughh. You're lucky i love you." He groaned. "Shut up." I laughed and walked over to grab my shoes. I bent over, slipping them on, and stood up straight. I felt Lukes arms snake around my waist. He pulled me back into his chest and pecked the top of my head. I turned around and looked up at him. "I love you." He smiled. I playfully rolled my eyes and sighed. "I love you too Luke. Now lets gooo."

"So what kind of costumes did you have in mind baby?" Luke asked, reaching over the center console and placing his hand on my thigh. "I dont know Luke. Im open to anything." I stated, glancing over at him, noticing the prominent smirk plastered on his face. "Whatever you're thinking the answer is no." I laughed, pulling into the parking lot. "But you said you were open to anything." He smiled innocently. "I changed my mind then. The answer is no." I said and parked the car. "You're no funnnnnn." He whined. "I'll have you know Im lots of fun." I scoffed. He smirked once again and i rolled my eyes. "That's it. Im getting out." Bye Luke." I said, hopping out of the car. I heard another door slam shut soon after and saw Luke jogging up behind me. He grabbed my hand as we both made our way across the street to the store. "I hate you." I said and he gasped. "That's a lie!" He pouted and i giggled. "You're cute." I said, booping his nose. "See i knew you didnt hate me!" He cheered and kissed my cheek. "Yeah, well dont push it Hemmings."

"Amanda! Let's be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!" Luke yelled from across the store. I groaned and walked over to him. "Since when am I dating a 7 year old?" I sighed, dramatically. "Since February 8th, 2014." He grinned, giving me a quick peck on the nose. "Put them back Luke." I laughed. "But baby it would be so cute! We could both be Leonardos, except I would be Lukenardo and you would be Amandanardo!" He beamed. Fuck he's so adorable. "Lukey that has to be the cheesiest thing you have ever said." I giggled. "I find that hard to believe sweetie. Ive said a lot of cheesy things to you before." He chuckled and i nodded. "Yup you're my little cheeseball." I smiled and he blushed. I watched as his eyes soon widened, the look of realization spreading across his face. That couldnt be good. He smiled brightly at me and almost immediately i knew what he was thinking. "We are not being cheese for halloween you loser." I said and shook my head. "But baby it would be-" "Goodbye Luke." I interrupted, walking away from him. I heard him grumbling behind me and i just laughed. I went back over to the aisle I was originally at and started looking through some more costumes. I groaned in frustration, none of these costumes were the right fit for me and Luke. I leaned against one of the shelves and sighed. I faintly began to hear the radio playing in the background. As soon as i heard the first few chords i knew exactly what it was. I felt a pair of hands on my shoulders. I turned my head and i saw Luke. "Hello there," He sang along, placing a kiss on my cheek. "The angel from my nightmare." He finished and i smiled. "The shadow in the background of the morgue." I sang. "The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley, we can live like Jack and Sally if we want." My eyes widened when Luke finished singing. "Luke thats it!" I yelled. "Whats it?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. "Jack and Sally, Luke! We can go as Jack and Sally!"

Almost 3 hours later, Luke and I were all dressed up and ready to go. I was just finishing up the last bit of my makeup when i heard Luke walk into the room. I looked up and saw his reflection in my mirror. "You look beautiful Sally." He smiled and i blushed. "You dont look too bad yourself Jack." I said, standing up from my chair. Luke wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his embrace. "I love you." I whispered, pecking his lips. Luke smiled down at me and kissed my forehead. "I love you too penguin. Now lets go pick up Mickey and Minnie so we can get some candy."
