Part Thirty-Six

"What time is it?" I asked and poked my friend Cody. "12:19." He said and put his phone back in his pocket. "Ugh only 7 more minutes." I stated and slumped back into my seat. "Thank god. I feel like we've been in here forever." He groaned and repeated my action. "A good hour." I laughed and he groaned again. "Exactly! That's like an entire lifetime." He frowned and i shook my head at his stupidity. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the time once more. 12:25. One minute. I grabbed my bookbag off of the auditorium floor and set it in my lap. The final bell rang and the entire school hopped out of their chairs and began piling into the lobby. "Hey am i taking you home?" I asked and Cody shrugged. "I guess." He chuckled. I laughed and grabbed my keys out of the front pocket of my bag. "Okay come on." I said and began pushin through the large group of teenagers. I finally reached the lobby and turned around to see that Cody was no longer behind me. "God dammit." I muttered and began scanning the crowd. I felt a tap on my shoulder and i quickly turned around. "Where were you?" Cody asked and my eyes widened. "Where was i? Where were you! I got out of the auditorium and you weren't behind me anymore." "Yeah i was and then you stopped and i continued walking because i didnt notice at first." He stared. "This literally happens everytime we're together you know that?" I groaned and he shrugged. "Sorry?" He laughed and i rolled my eyes. "I hate you." I grumbled and he just continued to laugh. "You do not." He said and i sighed. "Okay fine, now let's go."

I unlocked my front door and pushed it open. "Luke!" I yelled and dropped my bag on the floor, then closed the door behind me. "Upstairs!" He yelled back. I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a snapple then ran upstairs. I kicked my door open and saw Luke sitting on my bed with his guitar. "Where were you?" He asked, looking up at me. "After school me and Cody went to McDonalds." I shrugged and Luke nodded, setting his guitar down. "You should've told me. I would've asked you to get me something." He said and i laughed quietly. I walked over to him and placed the bag of food in his lap. "You're welcome." I smiled and turned to walk away. Before i could even take one step, Luke latched onto my arm and pulled me down onto the bed with him. I wiggled in his grasp as he began peppering kisses all over my face. "I love you." He mumbled against my cheek. "I love you too now let go of me." I giggled and he just hugged me tighter. "No." He huffed and snuggled his face into the crook of my neck. "Alright fine you dork." I said and relaxed into him. He suddenly jolted up and looked down at me. "Actually get off of me i have food to eat." He stated and my mouth fell open. "WOW." I scoffed and stood up. "Baby i was kidding come back!" He defended and i shook my head. "Nope too late. When is Ashton coming? Atleast he'll be nice to me." I smiled deviously as i sat down at my vanity. "Amanda i'll be nice to you! Im always nice to you! Come back!" Luke whined. "Nope." I stated firmly. "That's it!" He huffed and walked over to me. He grabbed my arm and pulled up off of my stool. Before i could even try and fight back i was already tossed over Lukes shoulder. "Lucas!" I gasped. "Okay one, my name isnt Lucas, and two, you brought this upon yourself." He laughed and began spinning us around. "Oh my god stop!" I yelled, trying to contain my laughter. "Say you're sorry." He said, slowing down. "Fine! Im sorry okay, now stop." I groaned. He jerked still and let me dangle from over his shoulder. "Hey Luke." "What?" "Nice butt." I giggled. "You too sweetcheeks." He chuckled and smacked my butt. "Hey!" I gasped and he laughed. He bent down and placed me back on the ground. I folded my arms and let out a loud huff. He laughed and looked down at me with a stupid smirk on his face. "I hate you." I exhaled and his smirk grew. He put his hands on my waist then slipped his hands in my back pockets and pulled me closer to him. "That's not true." He laughed and kissed my forehead. "Yeah you're right." I sighed and rested my head on his chest. He took his hands out of my pockets and wrapped his arm tight around me. "Hey Amanda." "What?" "I lub you." He giggled and kissed the top of my head. "I lub you too Lewi." I smiled. "Now seriously, when's Ashton going to be here?" I mumbled into his chest and he shrugged. I heard the front door open and close and looked up at Luke with confused, wide eyes. "Aussie Aussie Aussie!" A thick Australian voice yelled from downstairs, followed by a wave of giggles. A smile instantly grew on my face and Luke chuckled. "Does that answer your question?"
