On the Road Again || Luke Hemmings

Part Six

We got back to the hotel around midnight and the whole time i felt miserable. Amanda barely looked at me the entire ride. Right now, we are inside getting our things together, so we can hit the road again. I watched as she shuffled around the room grabbing things left and right. Her suitcase was all packed up, and she was almost set. She had her earbuds in humming along to the song, as she continued packing up a few more things. "The clock is tickin' and im out of time. The cameras rollin' and i forgot my lines. My script is ripped and now i see. This is heartache on the big screen." She sang quietly. Shes listening to my music? She cant be that mad at me then. Right? She finished packing everything up and began to head downstairs. She didnt even wait for me. I sighed and glanced around the room once again. I noticed something on the bed and walked over to see what it was. Poking out of the covers was Amandas penguin that i won her. She almost forgot it. She absolutely adores this thing. I grabbed the penguin and my luggage, and made my way down to the bus. I handed my suitcases over to one of the security guards and went into the bus. I went over to my bunk to see Amanda placing her stuff in it. She's still willing to sleep in the same bunk as me. This is a good sign, i know it. Or atleast i hope so. She plugged in her laptop and her charger, then turned to walk off. She must not of realized that i was standing there, because she bumped right into me. "Ow. Oh im s-sorry Luke." She whispered, looking down. "You uh, almost left this is the hotel." I said handing her the penguin. "I thought i had that. I know i grabbed yours for you, but i guess it slipped my mind to double check for mine. Thanks." She smiled slightly, placing the penguin in the bunk, then walking over to join Deysi and the boys. I smiled back. "You're welcome." I whispered. I put my other things in my bunk and joined everyone else. I wanted to sit next to Amanda, but she was in between Ashton and Deysi, so i settled for sitting in between Michael and Calum. There was an awkward silence that came about once i came into the room. "So, wait. Whats going on with you guys?" Deysi asked, motioning to Amanda and I. "Its a long story." Amanda whispered. "Oh okay." She said. Normal conversation started up once again, but i stayed out of most of it. As did Amanda. An hour or so later, she got up excusing herself to go to bed. I watched as she closed the door behind her. I looked back to see everyone staring at me. "What?" I questioned. "You really fucked up mate." Ashton stated. "Yeah i know." I groaned. "Well how are you going to fix it?" Calum asked. "Guys i dont know. I dont know what i can do to prove to her that she is important to me." I paused, feeling a tear slip down my cheek. "I really miss her." I said quietly. We sat there in 'silence for a minute before Michael spoke. "Ive got it!" He shouted and Deysi shushed him. "Oh, sorry. Ive got it!" He whisper-yelled. My heart fluttered with hope. "Well what is it?" Ashton asked. Michael motioned everyone over, and began telling us the plan. "This just might work." I whispered.

*Amanda's POV*

I tossed and turned for about an hour. I just couldnt get Luke out of my head. I missed him. I couldnt stay mad at him forever. But he did hurt me, and i dont know if i can forgive him just yet. I started to hear the faint sound of a guitar strumming. The boys must have been practicing. I brushed it off and closed my eyes, in hopes to fall asleep. But the strumming progressed, and got even louder. It sounded as if it was right next to me. I listened closely to what was being strummed, and then it hit me. I know this song. Its my favorite song. I sat up and pulled back the curtain to reveal Luke playing his guitar, staring at me. As soon as the curtain was fully open he began to sing.

He finished up the last verse, and i had tears streaming down my cheeks. He placed his guitar down and i hopped off the bunk, embracing him. "I missed you too." I sobbed into his chest. "I love you so, so much Amanda." He whispered, his voice cracking. "I love you too Luke. I love you too."
