On the Road Again || Luke Hemmings

Part Thirty

"Are you guys fuckin' ready yet? Melissa's gonna be here in a few minutes!" My brother yelled up the stairs. "We're coming!" I yelled back as i put on my combat boots, nearly falling over in the process. "Be careful baby, you'll hurt yourself." Luke laughed, walking over to me. "I hate you." I huffed and i pulled on my other boot. "That's not even close to being true." He scoffed and i rolled my eyes. "Yeah, we'll see." I laughed and walked away from him. He jogged up behind me and grabbed my hand. "You're such a weenie." He chuckled. "Shut up loser." I said as we walked downstairs. "Finally! Let's go, Melissas here." Nick said and walked out the door. I sighed and Luke draped his arm over my shoulders. "Come on sweetie, lets go find us a christmas tree."

"Nick that's literally a bush." I stated. We've been out for an hour and a half and my brother has yet to decide on what tree he wants. He wants a small one but not too small. He wants a full one but not too big. He's being overly complicated with this entire thing and its pissing me off. I just want to leave so Luke and I can leave and go the mall with Emily and Calum. "Just pick one already." I groaned and Luke pulled me more into his side, shushing me. "Stop being such a pain in the ass." My brother groaned back. "Nick relax." Melissa said and he rolled his eyes, grumbling some incoherent words. "Baby you need to calm down." Luke said, rubbing his hand up and down my arm in a soothing motion. "I just want to leave. He's making this a lot more stressful then it needs to be." I grumbled. "I know baby. But look, it seems like he might have found one." He said, pointing over at my brother. He was standing with Melissa next to a short but full tree. It was the perfect size for our house too. Luke grabbed my hand in his and we walked over to the two of them. "Well. What do you think of this one?" Nick asked me. "Honestly, i think it's perfect." I stated and he smiled. "Alright! This one it is then!"

"So are we picking them up or are they picking up us?" Luke asked as we walked upstairs. We had just finished helping my brother bring the tree inside and put it in place. We decided since we're all going out that we'll just decorate it when we get back home later. "They're picking us up." I responded and sat on my bed. "Do you know what time?" I looked over at my clock and shrugged. "In about a half hour." I responded. Being that its 10:30 and Emily wants to leave at 11. "Okay cool so we have some time to spare." He smiled, kicking off his shoes and plopping himself down on top of me. I layed myself back and Luke climbed more on top of me. "You're so lucky i love you, or else i would have pushed you off by now." I laughed, re-adjusting myself a bit. I watched as Luke reached his hand up and clasped it over my mouth. "Sssshhhh." He cooed and i licked his hand. "That doesnt bother me baby." He chuckled and propped himself up on his elbows, removing his hand from my mouth. He leaned down and licked my nose, making me to scrunch it up. "Gross." I grumbled and Luke lifted his eyebrows. "You're gross." He laughed and i frowned. He looked down at me and noticed my sad expression. He pouted his lips, brushing them against mine. "Im sorry." He mumbled. "It's fine Lewi." I sighed as we pulled apart. "You're not gross i promise." He smiled and i shook my head, a small hint of a smile pulling at my lips as well. "Thanks." I murmered. "You're a cutie." He grinned and poked my cheek. I felt my cheeks heat up and i groaned. "You really need to stop making me blush so much." I whined, bringing my hands up to cover my face. Luke grabbed them and placed them back down at my sides, causing me to pout. A cheeky grin was spread across his face. "Never."

"So this is where we part ways i guess. We'll all meet back here in an hour okay?" Luke asked and we all nodded. He grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug. "Dont miss me too much." He chuckled and wiggled out of his embrace. "Shut up." I said and rolled my eyes. He just smiled back at me and leaned down giving me a quick peck on the cheek. "Remember, you dont have to get me much okay? Having you here is the best present i could ever ask for." I stated and Luke shrugged. "We'll see. You know how much i love to spoil you." He grinned and pecked my cheek one more time before running off into the mall with Calum. "He's annoying." I groaned and turned to face Emily. "No he's not. He just loves you." She smiled and i nodded. "Yeah, i know."

"So what are you getting Calum?" I asked and she grinned. "Well what would you say if i told you theres a puppy waiting for Calum at his house in Aus?" She smiled. "Emily you didnt!" I gasped. "Oh i did." She nodded, seeming quite proud of herself. "Calums going to be so happy, oh my god." I laughed and she began bouncing on her heels. "I know! Im so excited!" She squealed. "So what are you getting Luke?" She asked and shrugged, shaking my head. "I honestly have no idea." I sighed. "Well do you wanna go in Guitar Center? Maybe you can find something in there." She suggested. I shrugged once more and nodded. "Sure, why not."

After finding the perfect present for Luke, Emily decided to drag me into Spencers with her to find a gag gift to buy Calum. Just so she could have a little fun with him before he finds his actual present when we go over to Australia to spend Christmas with the boys families. "So what do you think you're gonna get him?" I asked and she shrugged. "Im not sure yet. I already bought him an awful looking sweater, which i know he'll just love," She winked. "But i dont know, i kinda wanna get him something funny too." She finished and i nodded, looking over the different snapbacks hanging on the wall. I spotted a Jack Skellington and quickly grabbed it out of its rack. "You have an obsession." Emily laughed and i rolled my eyes. "I do not!" I fought, putting the hat back. Emily just shook her head and raised her hands up in defense. "Okay okay. Im sorry." She snorted and i groaned. "Just go find your gag gift for Calum." I said and she nodded, walking over to look at more stuff. "I think im gonna get him this!" She called and i walked over to her. "Are you kidding me?" I laughed, gesturing to the penis lollipop in her hand. "Nope!" She said and ran over to the counter to check out. "He's gonna be so pissed." I stated and she just shook her head. "Ha. Oh well." She laughed and checked out. "So i guess we should go meet up with the boys now huh?" I asked and she nodded. "Yeah, lets get back before they send out a search party for us."

"So what'd ya get me baby?" Luke asked as we walked into my room. "And why would i tell you?" I smirked and he shrugged. "Because you love me." He grinned and i laughed, going over and sitting on my bed. "Well. That is true, but that doesnt mean im going to tell you what i bought." I stated. He pouted and shuffled over and sat down next to me. "You're mean." He huffed, crossing his arms. "I am not." I said, and mimicked his actions. "Were you going to tell me what you bought me?" I asked and shook his head. "No, but-" "But nothing Luke," I laughed. "We just both have to wait until Christmas." I finished and he nodded. "Fineeeee." He groaned and wrapped his arms around me. "You're lucky i love you." He said and kissed my cheek. I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Oh, shut up." I laughed. "Baaaaabbyyy." He whined, and i huffed dramatically. "Okay fine," I smiled. "I guess i love you too." "Good!" He cheered and kissed my cheek. "Amanda are you home yet?" I heard my brother yell. "Yeah Nick, just got back not too long ago." I yelled back. "Alright well do you two wanna come help decorate the tree now?" He asked and i looked over at Luke, who was nodding eagerly. "Yeah we'll be down in a minute." I said and stood up from my bed. "Come on Lewi." I smiled and reached my hands out to him. He clasped his large hands in mine, but instead of pulling himself up, he pulled me down on top of him. "Luuukkee." I groaned, trying to slide myself off of him. He wrapped his arms tightly around me, practically attaching me to him. I pouted down at him and he just grinned. "I love you cutie." He smiled and pecked my lips. "I love you too Luke, now lets go set up the tree."
