*Luke's POV*

Ive been impatiently locking and unlocking my phone, debating whether or not to text Amanda. Today was 'Senior Skip Day' for all the Year 12 students in her school. She had been talking about what she was planning to do for weeks. It was so cute how excited she was. She had planned to spend the day at the boardwalk with a few of her friends. Cody, Mike, and Justin i think she told me.

I tapped the home button on my phone and looked at my lockscreen. It was a picture of us from our anniversary, from when we were on the beach watching the sunset. We were kissing and Amanda had the biggest smile on her face. I miss that smile. I miss her in general.

I unlocked my phone and went on snapchat. I clicked on Amanda's story and watched the numerous videos, making it feel like i was there with her. There was a video of Justin fake slapping Mike and her laughing hysterically behind the camera. She sounds so happy. And that makes me happy.

"Mate are you coming?" Ashton asked, pulling my bunk curtain open. "Yeah." I mumbled. I slid my phone back in my pocket and rolled out of my bunk. "You alright?" He asked and i shrugged.

"Just one of those days huh?"

I nodded. Just one of those days. Those days where i am absolutely miserable because of how much i miss my girlfriend.

I walked into the back of the bus and joined the rest of the boys. I sit down with a loud huff, grabbing the attention of my bandmates. "You alright?" Calum asked and i nodded. "Im fine." I replied coldly. Calum furrowed his eyebrows at me and i instantly felt awful. "Cal, im sorry, it's just-" "It's fine mate, i understand. Im dealing with the same thing." He smiled, patting my back. I exhaled deeply and looked around at the boys.

"So what are we doing?" I asked and Michael shrugged. "We can all play Fifa. Ive been told that Fifa is a cure for lonliness." He stated, reaching for the controllers, handing one to me and Calum. "By who!" Calum shouted, laughing. "Myself." He smirked.

"But guuuuuys. I dont like Fifa." Ashton whined and i laughed. "I dont get you Ash. Like what do you mean you dont like Fifa? Everyone likes Fifa." I deadpanned and Ashton frowned. "I just dont okay, stop picking on me." He pouted. "Alright alright. Can we just start playing please. For fuck sake." Michael groaned dramatically. "Can you go one day without saying the word fuck for once?" Ashton asked and Michael sighed.

"Probably not, now pick up a controller and fuck off."

*****

"Im hungry."

"You're always hungry Michael." I groaned, keeping my eye on the tv. He shoved me, making the controller fall out of my hands. "Are you fucking kidding me?" I asked and Michael shrugged. "Feed me."

"Make Ashton feed you, he's not even playing!" I fought. "Im just trying to keep Muke alive and i honestly feel so attacked right now." He dramaticized, and i rolled my eyes. "Stop being so annoying." I grunted, shoving him. "That's it, im breaking up with you." He said, dropping his controller and standing up, before walking away. "Fine, Cake was always more real than Muke anyway." I smirked and Michael gasped. "YOU MONSTER!" He yelled, running to the front of the bus. I bursted out laughing, Ashton and Calums laughs ringing in my ears as well.

"I'll go check on him." Ashton announced, getting up from his seat. "Just bring him some food and he'll be fine. He's like a kitten, all he needs is food and attention." Calum laughed. Ashton nodded and continued on his way to get Michael.

"So what's going on mate? You're more down than usual." Calum frowned. "It's Amanda right?" He asked and i nodded. "It's just that i havent talked to her all day and i usually do. But she's out with her friends. Which im not upset about, im happy that she's out being happy, i just wish that i was there with her." I breathed. "Yeah i understand what you mean. I miss Em like crazy. I wish i was there with her right now, helping her with the pregnancy and taking her to her appointments. Instead im here living my dream while she's there, all alone." "Well she's not alone Cal, she has Amanda." I stated and he nodded. "Yeah i know, but im her fiancé. I should be there for that kind of stuff," He mumbled. "But enough about me, let's focus on you for now, because i know that isnt the only thing that's bothering you."

"Im just worried about her you know? These next couple weeks are going to be so stressful for her because of her final exams and im afraid that somethings going to happen." I sighed, looking down. Im so incredibly worried about Amanda. Before i left, she had already been telling me how nervous she was about finals, and that's when they were only a month away. Now they're next week.

"Mate im sure if she's really stressed she'll call you."

"That's the thing Cal, i dont think she will." I stated and he tilted his head. "Why?" He asked. "Because she's stubborn." I laughed. Amanda has always been stubborn, but i think it's adorable. Sometimes annoying, but overall adorable. "Well she's a taurus, what do you expect?" Calum chuckled. "But anyway, listen Luke, Amanda is going to be fine okay? She's what? A year and 3 months clean now?" He asked and i shook my head. "4 months." I corrected. "Okay, but see! She's strong. You have nothing to worry about."

"I guess, but im still going to worry either way." I said and he nodded. "Yeah i know," He laughed. "Because you're stubborn too." He stated and i chuckled, nodding. "Yup."

"We're back!" Ashton yelled, carrying Michael on his back. He walked over and dropped him on the couch next to me and Calum. "Are you done being annoying?" I asked and he nodded. "Yeah, Ashton actually fed me unlike some people." He groaned. "Good." I shrugged, leaning back into the couch.

"And hey Luke?" Michael asked. "Yeah?" I said, looking over at him.
"Did you mean it when you said Cake was more real than Muke?"

*****

I sat alone in the dressing room backstage, tuning my guitar. I felt my phone start vibrating in my pocket and i scrambled to pull it out. Amanda's picture shined bright across my screen. I clicked answer and held the phone up to my ear.

"Hey Lewi!" She greeted. I could almost see the smile on her face. "Hi sweetie." I replied. "Im sorry i didnt talk to you today, i was just out with my friends and i just couldnt find a good time to call but i made sure id be home before you guys went on stage so i could call you and wish you luck like i always do and-" "Baby you're rambling." I laughed, and imagined her cheeks turning red. "Sorry." She mumbled. "It's okay babygirl. I knew you were busy."

"Are you guys going on stage soon?" She asked and i nodded to myself. "In a few minutes." I stated. "Okay, well good luck Lewi, i love you." "Thanks sweetie, and i love you too." I smiled.

"Now get out of here," She giggled. "You've got a show to do, punk."
