*Amanda's POV*

Well. Today's the day. Graduation. I've been up for the past hour just thinking about it. This is where 'childhood' ends, and adulthood begins. And that's a terrifying thought. Im going to be saying goodbye to so many people today. Some possibly forever and i dont know how to feel about that. I have friends going away for college that im going to miss so much. And i have 2 friends that are going into the military that im going to worry about and have on my mind 24/7. And i just know that it's going to be really hard to say goodbye to them.

I reached over for phone and checked the time. 5:56am. I groaned and rolled back over into the empty spot beside me. Luke and the boys have been on tour since May 23rd.

I had to finish the end of high school without him. The stress of finals, the constant anxiety, the depression continuously creeping into my mind. But i managed right? And it's not like i had zero contact with him. He talked to me as much as he possibly could and that helped keep me sane. Only twice did i have to call Luke because i thought i couldnt handle anymore. And he calmed me down like he always does. His reassuring words embeded into my brain. But honestly, i just cant wait to see him today. I cant wait to be in his arms again. Even if it's only for a little while.

I faintly heard my alarm start to sing and i rolled over and grabbed my phone, shutting it off. I sat up and rolled my blanket off of me. I got out of bed and trudged into my closet. I grabbed my black dress with flowers all over it that i bought specifically for graduation and walked into the bathroom to get ready.

I pulled into the school parking lot and watched as the multiple seniors piled into the doors by the cafeteria. Senior breakfast was the first thing on the agenda today before graduation practice. I got out of my car and started walking towards the school. I pulled open the door and proceeded into the cafeteria, searching around the crowd for my friends. I spotted Cody talking to Mike so i decided to go over to them.

"Hey guys." I greeted. "Hey Amanda, how are you?!" Mike yelled, his usual way of greeting me. "Im alright how are you?!" I shouted back. "Im good!" He said and i looked over at Cody who couldnt stop giggling.

"Oi best friend, relax over there." I laughed and poked his stomach. "Dont tell me what to do." He chuckled and repeated my action. "Sooo, are you guys ready for later?" I asked and they both nodded. "I cant wait." Cody said. "I can." I mumbled. "What?" He asked and i shrugged. "Nothing," I started. "Let's just go get some food okay?" I asked and Mike nodded eagerly. "Let's go!" He yelled and ran over to the line.

I sighed and slowly started to follow him. "Hey." Cody said, making me turn around. "Dont worry about us leaving okay. We're going to be fine, i promise." He smiled and i tried my hardest to smile back.

"If you say so."

The rest of the day went by pretty quick, which i hated. I was looking forward to spending the day with my friends before we all said goodbye but i guess time really wasnt on my side today. I was laying in bed listening to music, watching the day fly by.

About 10 minutes until i have to leave for the ceremony. I heard my phone start to go off and i scrambled to answer it. Lukes picture was bright on my screen. I smiled and pressed the answer button.

"Hey Lukey." I greeted into the receiver. "Hi sweetheart! Me and the boys on our way now! We just landed in Atlantic City." He cheered and my smile widened. "Im so happy you're going to make it." I sighed in relief. "Are you kidding sweetie? I wouldnt miss this for the world. I cant wait for you to go on stage and get your diploma. Me and the boys are going to be the loudest ones there." He chuckled and i rolled my eyes. "I love you." I exhaled. "I love you too, baby. Now go get ready! You have to be at school soon." He said and i nodded to myself. "Okay, i'll see you later." I whispered. "Okay bye baby, i love you." "I love you too, bye." I finished and hung up.
