~Draco POV~

To my surprise, I got up almost two hours before school started. I slowly got ready and headed downstairs. I was hoping to quickly eat breakfast and maybe take a walk outside before school officially started. Walking towards the entrance of the Grand Hall I heard an all too well voice echo the Halls.

"Blaise I trust that you are talking to me because you have more of an important matter rather than just wasting my time with your unneeded presence," Ginny said not too quietly

"Your time would never be wasted looking at me though," Blaise said winking at Ginny.

"It's sad how narcissistic you are. I almost feel bad for you." Ginny said rolling her eyes

"Well, what would make you feel really bad for me," Blaise said slightly putting his arm around Ginny

"Maybe if you threw yourself off a cliff. Although I don't know if I would feel bad for you, but you sure would get a lot of people talking...and a narcissistic person like you is always looking for attention so it's really the only good solution for you," Ginny said throwing his arm off her

"Ouch, that really hurts my heart. Ya know the war is over now, no need to be so stingy!" he slightly yelled to Ginny who was walking to her Gryffindor table.

I walked in with Blaise to see Ginny, Luna and Hermione all eating together. When Luna saw me she smiled and waved at me. Blaise elbowed me asking "did you two make up?" making me scowl at him while I just nodded to Luna before sitting down.

"Why up so early?" Blaise asked while slabbing his Biscuits and gravy with a mass of butter

"Couldn't really sleep, what about you? You usually hate getting up early," I said picking at my food

"I like getting up early," Blaise said defensively. I then eyed him thinking of all the times when I tried to wake him up.

"Ok well maybe not all the time but since I'm a prefect I thought I should give the whole morning thing a try," he said trying not to look at me while I just shook my head

"Ya, I really see your commitment,"

"Well to be honest Astrid, the other Slytherin prefect asked me to change my times with her so that she could be with Erik Dollkin, the Gryffindor prefect. Why she likes Dollkin is beyond me though" Blaise said picking up his fork and biting off a huge piece of biscuit

"I'm sorry where is the part that made you decide on waking up early?" I asked totally confused

"Oh right, well Astrid asked me if I could tell Ginny about the switch. Astrid was going to be gone for most of the day. Anyways I woke up as early so I could to hopefully find a good way to tell Ginny the news, along with telling her that tonight we have to walk the halls. But right when I started talking to her, well, let's just say the rest is history," Blaise said taking another bit of his food

"Right, that made everything totally clear now," I said shaking my head.

I then looked around the room to notice that only I, Blaise, Ginny, Hermione, and Luna who was facing me were the only ones in the hall eating breakfast. I looked up to Luna to see that she was looking at me too when she smiled and then continued talking to Hermione and Ginny. After about thirty minutes of finishing up breakfast more people started showing up, and then as Blaise and I were starting to head for the door we bumped into Harry and Ron.

"I-I'm really sorry," I said hastily

"No um, it's fine don't worry about it," Harry said walking away with Ron who both looked confused, probably as to why I didn't say a snide remark back like I always used to.

Luna then walked up with Ginny and Hermione "Hello Draco and Blaise,"

"Hey Luna," Blaise said in a chipper voice

"Hello" I said nodding towards her, Hermione and Ginny

"Oh and Ginny?" Blaise said facing Ginny

"What is it now Blaise?" Ginny said looking at Blaise annoyed

"It's about earlier, well actually what I meant to say was th-

"Is it about you throwing yourself off of a cliff?" Ginny interrupted. Seeing as to how Blaise was getting nowhere I just chimed in.

"Blaise meant to tell you that he traded times with Astrid, so tonight you both need to walk the halls together," I said as Blaise looked extremely relieved that I gave the news instead of him.

"Why?" Ginny said eyeing Blaise

"No, it's not what you think. Astrid asked me to," Blaise said

"Why didn't she ask me?"

"She's not going to be here most of the day, so she asked if I could."

"Well, why didn't you start with that?" Ginny asked

"Not sure, guess I was trying to make small talk first. Didn't go as planned,"

"Ya well sorry about the whole falling off a cliff thing" Ginny said

"It's cool and sorry about my narcissism," Blaise said as we walked off heading towards our first class. So much for my morning walk alone...
