I groan in tiredness as I move around in my comfortable bed. When will I be able to sleep without waking up at 1:30 in the morning? I stare at my surroundings, the blackness making it impossible to tell what I'm looking at. I glance towards my phone, wondering if I should check my messages. I quickly decide against it, knowing I should get back to sleep. I lay down in my bed, pulling the warm covers over my body. Within minutes blackness fills my eyes, as I drift away from reality.

"We should grab Starbucks" atsuko says to me, looking at the phone in her hand.
"Its like I live at Starbucks. I'm there almost everyday" I reply, adjusting my hair.
"Pleaseeee!! I heard they have this new drink. It has chocolate whipped cream, sprinkles a-"
"I don't care" I interrupt her, not really focusing on her words.
"Wow somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed"
"Or I woke up at 1:30" I state, groaning at the memory.
"Again?"
"Yea I keep waking up in the middle of The night, and I am completely clueless why." I admit, shoving my hands into my pockets.
"Hmm that's very odd"
"Thanks captain obvious" I reply, laughing at my remark.
"Aren't you just so cool? Laughing at me!!" Atsuko shrieks, laughing at our conversation.

"Can we hang out tomorrow?" I question to atsuko, as we arrive at my house.
"Of course. it's not like I have a life or anything" she jokes, casually shrugging her shoulders.
I shortly put my attention back to my small house, realizing how dirty it is. the baby blue paint has fainted, dirt smudges appearing on the walls.
"Thank you so much for the ride" I say to Atsuko, opening the car door to leave.
"Yea no problem" she replies, smiling at me.
"See you tomorrow!" I say, before closing the car door. I watch as her car pulls out of my driveway, as she drives away. Once atsuko and her car are out of sight, I make my way inside. As I drop my bags off by the door, I decide to check the time. 10:32pm already? Geez time sure does fly when you are having fun.
