Chapter quotes:

Some days, 24 hours is too much to stay put in, so I take the day hour by hour, moment by moment. I break the task, the challenge, the fear into small, bite-size pieces. I can handle a piece of fear, depression, anger, pain, sadness, loneliness, illness. I actually put my hands up to my face, one next to each eye, like blinders on a horse.

Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?

Mary Manin Morrissey

I have lived pain, and my life can tell: I only deepen the wound of the world when I neglect to give thanks the heavy perfume of wild roses in early July and the song of crickets on summer humid nights and the rivers that run and the stars that rise and the rain that falls and all the good things that a good God gives.

You knew, you knew that you had to do it. You had to leave your friends, but you knew deep inside your heart that it would hurt you more than you would think.

It was late at night and everyone was asleep. You double checked to see if anyone was awake. You tiptoe outside, belongings in hand and whisper, "Goodbye everyone, I'm sorry about this." "Are you sure about this?" You quietly answer, "This is the only way I can help everyone without hurting them. I can't let anyone else get hurt because of me and my own stupid decisions. Promise me something though." "Depends on what it is." "Please don't tell anyone about this." "Alright, if it makes you happy." You look back and say, "Goodbye everyone."

***The next morning***

Blister went to go check on everyone and then realized, "Where's Y/N?" He went up to your room and saw that you were nowhere to be seen. He called out, "Y/N! Where are you? This isn't funny!" He began to panic and said to himself, "I have to call Yusei and the others."

Yusei and everyone else burst through the doors of Martha's orphanage at the news. Jack asked, "What do you mean she's gone?!?" He adds, "She was with me yesterday and she seemed fine to me." Yusei comments, "I don't think that she would leave without some kind of sign, guys." Jack pointed out, "She already did, Yusei." Jack thought to himself, "Please be okay."

You found yourself in a deep and murky forest outside of New Domino City. "Are you sure that you want to do this?" "I told you already that I'm sure." You add, "Now I need to find a way to cover up this mark so no one can find me." You saw a patch of mud and said, "Gross but it'll do for now." "Isn't there some other way you could hide it?" "I don't see any other way though." You saw a cave and thought to yourself, "I could hide my runner in there. No one would find it."

You were looking around the forest and froze when you thought that you heard the sound of another duel runner. This isn't good. You quickly ran into the cave and hid yourself from plain sight. You peeked out slightly, realizing that it was a false alarm and you quietly sigh.

Yusei opened up a map of New Domino City and said, "Y/N couldn't have gone far, so I think that we should be able to find her." Crow meanwhile, was trying to calm Jack down before he could destroy anything put in front of him. Crow said, "Jack, calm down." Jack replied, "I will not calm down, Crow! Y/N's gone missing and I should've noticed that something was wrong before! I'm so stupid!" Crow smacked Jack's head, making Jack ask, "What was that for?!?" Crow answers, "Come on man, you're never like this when it comes to a girl. What happened?" Yusei remarks, "Crow, as much as I would like to see what you're about to do, our main priority right now is finding Y/N." Akiza whispered to herself, "Y/N, what happened? Why would you run like this?"
