Chapter 20

You and Jack were watching the clouds as the danced in the sky. Jack touches your hand and smiled. You lay your head on his shoulder as he looked at you lovingly. Jack remarks, "I'm glad no one's here to interrupt our moment." You both look at each other and say in unison, "Like Crow." You giggle, "You must care about him a lot if you're annoyed with him 50% of the time." Jack mutters, "Nope, not one bit." Jack snuggled closer to you and remarks, "I have you." You heart melted, "Jack."

Later on, you were pulling the petals off of a little sakura blossom. You say to yourself, "He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not." Jack questions, "What are you doing, Y/N?" He saw the sakura blossom and shook his head. He asked, "Why are you doing that exactly?" You shrug, "I don't know." You picked the last petal and mutter, "He loves me." Jack picked you off of the ground, causing you to squeal. You laugh, "Jack Atlas, put me down!" Jack answers, "Not a chance, my love." You keep giggling, "Jack!" You heard him laugh loudly. He adds as he put you down, "You look absolutely beautiful by the way." You look down in embarrassment and Jack tilts your head up to face him. His titian orbs sparkled in the sunlight as he gazed at you sweetly. He snaked his arms around your waist and kisses you gently. Jack places his hand on your cheek and went on, "I'm just happy that you're okay. I don't know what I would've done if you were gone." Jack brushed his nose against your own as you felt your heart swell for a moment. I don't think that I've ever felt this way about someone before.

*****The following day*****

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE HASN'T TOLD YOU?!?" You flinched at Akiza's vexed tone. "I'm going to hide behind Arcanite now. God she's scary!" You were confused, "I don't get it, Akiza. What would Jack know about this dance?" Akiza explains, "All the guys are supposed to ask the girls to the dance." You point out, "Jack doesn't go to the academy though, Akiza." Akiza answers, "Even if they don't go to the academy, it's a tradition here." You give her a suggestive look, "Do you think that Yusei will ask you?" The vermilion-haired girl blushed, "I-It's not like that!"

Meanwhile, Crow poked Jack's shoulder repeatedly, causing the blond to punch the orange-haired boy in retaliation. Jack asked, "What do you want, Crow?" Crow replied, "Did you hear about that dance being held tomorrow night?" Jack questions, "What about it?" Yusei intervened, "I think what Crow is trying to say is that you should ask Y/N to that dance." Jack said, "Those things are pointless! What's the point?" Yusei replied, "I don't think Y/N would think the same thing. I bet she would be really happy if you asked her." Jack shook his head, "No way!"

You were being dragged around the city by Akiza after school had ended. You said, "Remind me why we're shopping when we haven't even been asked to the dance." Akiza replied, "It never hurts to be prepared, Y/N." You were following Akiza around as you shook your head in disapproval. I doubt that Jack will ask me to that dance. He's the type of guy to be embarrassed over something like that. Akiza pointed in front of you, "Y/N look at that dress! It would look so cute on you!" She pushed you into the dressing room and said, "Try it on!" You sigh and begin to change. Your female spirits looked stunned. Dark Magician Girl comments, "Y/N you look so beautiful!" Crystal Seer nodded in agreement, "I agree. You look absolutely elegant."  You open the curtain and Akiza squealed, "You look so cute! Jack is going to be so speechless when he sees you!" You reply, "Let's wait until he asks me to that dance first, Aki."
