I was expecting to hit the ground any second but the ground didn't come.

"Scarlett? Whats happening," Cameron whispered in a voice so small I could barley hear him.

I blinked five times before I answered.

"Well I think we're falling. And I'm pretty sure this is my home, where I was born 227 years ago. Come to think about its not been that long," I said smiling to myself.

"Wait. This is Balinor," he questioned.

I turned my head and smiled.

"Yep," was all I said before a shaky green light began to come in view.

The green was beautiful. It was a mix of dark forest green and a light lime color. Soon it was accompanied by a pail blue sky color and white spots. Suddenly we found ourselves in a lush pine forest.

The trees cast shadows as a late morning sun began to rise. A soft breeze rustled the branches as we gazed around. It was the definition of pure beauty.

"Wow," Cameron whispered. He looked mesmerized as he gazed out. He dismounted and walked to Sky-Ghost who seemed very excited.

"Home sweet home! Her highness apparently realized it was me and threw me the farthest away from her and landed me in my own back yard basically," I couldn't be happier. "We gotta visit her and tell my daddy hey!"

"Wait. You have royal blood?!? Since when," Cameron exclaimed.

"Yes Cam I do. I would be the princess right now if that bitch Ari hadn't taking my spot," I growled.

"Ouch. That sucks. Let me guess a long story," he asked.

"Very," I responded. I then leaped off of Storm-Brooke and untied Sesame and Sky-Ghost.

I handed the lead to Cameron and Sesame ran ahead. The horses were now unicorns and Storm-Brooke began talking.

"You know I don't think I've been here before. Then again I lived in Unicorn Valé," she continued on ranting.

After a while a small house came into our view. And thankfully it shut up the two arguing unicorns.

A smile reached my lips and it turning into an ear to eat grin. Home sweet home. I had finally returned to the place I had trained, slept, ate and lived after Ari ruined my life.

"Mom!?! Is that you," I called excitement had taking my voice over completely.

The older looking woman looked up from her garden and smiled.

"Sweet heart! You have made it back! And with a beautiful unicorn and boy," the woman began walking over to us.

Even though she had gray hair and some wrinkles, her walk was like that of a child's. Her body's features were those of a 30 year old yet the women's face looked like that of a 70 year old. And her voice sounded full of youth.

"Scarlett Rose! You haven't changed much," she smiled a perfect white smile.

"That's good Ms. Annabella! Thats whats supposed to happen," I laughed.

"Wow Scarlett she's a beauty," Ms. Annabella walked around Storm-Brooke.

"That's my baby, Storm-Brooke," I told her resting a hand on Storm-Brooke's flank.

The woman touched her mane and Storm-Brooke reared. Ms. Annabella leaped back startled. Storm-Brooke turned and gave the woman a death stare. Sesame threw herself at Ms. Annabella, snarling.

"Hey what the hell Sesame," I yelled but my instinct told me to run.

I watched in horror as the woman I had almost stayed with morphed into a royal guard. He laughed a laugh full of evil.

"Her Highness will see you now Scarlett Rose Hayzen," the guard growled and started to walk towards me.

Sesame barked and leaped up at his face. She tackled him and had her teeth at his throat. I snapped my fingers and the guard disappeared.

"They killed her," a single tear escaped and was followed by more tears until I fell to the ground crying.

"Scarlett," his voice trailed off. "I'm sorry."

I felt him wrap his arm around me. He pulled me to my feet.

"Let's be getting on our way before more of them come," he whispered softly in my ear.

I wiped away my tears and took a deep breath.

"Let's get some supplies. And Sky-Ghost can be ridden, he's a grown up in Balinor," I nodded towards a now tall, strong Sky-Ghost.

"Wow," he smiled.

We then tip-toed carefully inside the house. It was a small cottage with six rooms. Two which were bedrooms, one which was a bathroom. Then there was a living room and a kitchen. And lastly a small mud room that when you entered the house thats where you stood. All of the rooms branched off a narrow hallway that ran from the little tiny mud room to last room which was a bedroom. Memories began to flood back to me and I couldn't help but smile.

"The kitchen is the third room on the left," I said.

With me leading, we ended up in the kitchen.

"You get the supplies and load the horses with it. I have to do something," I said without looking at him.

"Okay," he replied.

I walked back the hall to the last room on the left. I took a deep breath and opened the door. This was her bedroom although she never slept in it. All her special stuff was stored in here. I wanted to keep a few things but first I had to dig through memories to get it.

I saw what I wanted, all of it stacked up neatly on a bookshelf. It was as if she was expecting me to come get it. I carefully stepped over a bowl that was patched back together. I remembered that, it was my first meal here, some watery soup and I had been so upset because I was used to royal food. I then stepped around a homemade table that I had painted.

Once I finally got to the shelf I was crying. So many memories. The crying was mixed with happiness and sorrow. I reached up and grabbed what I wanted. A bow and arrow that she had made special for me, two horse bridles that I had made from dyed leather, an arrow making kit and a dyed leather pouch made to carry medicines. I felt Cameron's eyes on me from the doorway.

"Hold on Cam. I'll be out in a second," I said quietly.

"Take your time Scarlett. I just wanted to let you know I got the horses packed. I also found some camping stuff like a big green tent, fire making kit, and first aid," Cameron said, "come out when your ready."

I nodded then pulled out the arrows and a small slip of paper fell out. I read it aloud for some reason.

"Dear Scarlett Rose I will be dead by the time you read this note. I have a few last wishes please grant them. 1. Take all the stuff you need and nothing more 2. Take and read my journal 3. Torch the house when you got all the stuff you need. Thank you Scarlett and I want you to know I will never ever forget you, even in the afterlife. You were the light at the end of the tunnel. Love you lots, Mama," I read then smiled, "alright mom I WILL grant these wishes."

I then walked out grabbing her journal. I closed all the doors then finally the front one.

"Give me a match please," I said while walking towards Cameron.

"Here," he said slightly with question.

I took it and it's box, struck the match and threw the lit match at the wooden door. It landed and the whole door caught fire. We stood there, watching the house burn.
