I awoke by a pulling on my leg. I looked down and saw Sesame yanking on my leg.
"What," I whispered sleepily.
Sesame just licked my face.
"Get outside now," she thought.
I carefully unwrapped myself from Cameron's arms.
"No both of you! Wake him up," Sesame demanded.
"Fine," I turned to Cameron. "Wake up sleepy head! Time to leave."
His eyes flickered open . He moaned softly before grabbing the pillow and stuffing it over his face.
"Cameron," I warned.
"Give me five more minutes," he said.
"Nope," I pulled off the blankets and took his pillow away. "Wakey wakey Cam!"
"I hates you," he muttered trying to take his pillow back.
"Well you still gotta get up," I said, amused.
I started folding the blankets and I began shoving them in a endless saddle-bag. I threw some clothes at Cameron.
"Go to that room in the corner and get dressed," I said pointing to the fire room.
"God Scarlett a little demanding this morning," he said grinning like an idiot.
I shook my head smiling a small smile.
"SCARLETT HELLO OUTSIDE MAYBE," Sesame screamed at me.
"Jeez sorry I'm working on it," I muttered.
"Scarlett. Please I need to talk to you guys but this stupid tent keeps flushing my memory," Sesame whimpered.
"What!? F**k! Sesame that means she f**king found us," I thought as calmly as possible.
"Hey Scarlett you alright," Cameron asked walking towards me.
"No Cam. We need to leave before her backup comes," I was trying so hard not to panic.
"Who's backup," Cameron wondered out loud.
"Ari's. Cameron lets go," I quickly used a clean up spell and hen an invisibility spell on us.
I took the tent down once outside. We then jumped onto the horses backs. Sesame rode in the supply cart Storm-Brooke was dragging. We raced through the forest dogging trees and leaping over holes.
After a good 15 minutes of that we finally slowed but didn't stop.
"This looks like a good place to let the horses rest for a little bit and we can get drink," I staid to Cameron.
"Ya. I think you're right," he said looking around.
The place was beautiful. It was kind of like a small valley. There was a calm river running down one of the sides. On that side where the river was, there was also a village.
I saw him staring at the village.
"Cameron," my voice trailed off.
Every village had a portal back. Back to the world Cameron had been born to. Where his family was. Where his life was.
"Yes," he questioned.
"There's a portal back to your world in every village. You can go back," I smiled weakly.
If he went back, he'd have no memory of Balinor or me since I was staying. If he left he'd be gone forever.
"Go back and miss you beating that bitch Ari?! You've gotta be crazy Scarlett," Cameron smirked. "You're not getting rid of me yet!"
I couldn't help but sigh in relief. He wouldn't leave.
"Thank you Cameron," I whispered.
"For what," he said confused.
"Staying and being for me," I said. "I'm not used to the love and attention and help your giving me, but its really, uh, nice."
"Great choice of words girly," he laughed. "But your very welcome."
I looked at him and then snapped the bridle against Storm-Brooke's neck. She raced towards the town. When I glanced back, I saw Cameron trying to get Sky-Ghost going. The poor unicorn wasn't used to so much exercise.
I reached the town just as Cameron was getting up the valley side. He reached me in another five minutes and I was falling off my unicorn laughing.
Cameron gave me his best not amused face before laughing with me. I couldn't stop laughing.
"Cameron. We are in luck! This is where my aunt lives," I said in between giggling fits.
"I thought you said you had no living relatives," he said gasping for air. Cameron had managed to stop laughing.
"She's Annabella's sister. She'll help us," I said, hope brimming my voice.
"Do you know where she lives," he asked.
"No but I do know where the local bar is," I grinned.
"Alright. I don't know how that'd help us but let's go," he gave me a look that I couldn't decipher.
We got off the unicorns and attached their leads. I walked next to Cameron with Sesame in between us. Soon I saw the 'Greatest Bar In Balinor' sign. I couldn't help but smile at the memory's that sign brought back.
"Hey Cameron, can you stay out here while I go in? I won't be long, trust me," I asked.
He nodded and I gave him Storm-Brooke's lead. Sesame walked right beside me, ready for anything. I pulled up the hood on my coat so it covered my face.
"Hello Ted! I need some help," I shouted over the music and other voices.
"Do I know you? You don't look like a local," Ted said turning to face me.
He hadn't changed a bit from the last time I saw him. His beard had grown whiter, his hair just as white. Ted was my father's best friend and I used to see him every Friday night when he came to the castle for dinner.
I lifted my hood a little just so he could see my smiling face.
"Scarlett! By golly I thought you'd died! What cha need sweet-heart," Teds smile was ear to ear.
"Keep your voice down Ted. I need to make sure everyone else thinks I'm dead too. But Mrs. Hayzen. I need to speak to her. If you could kindly give me her address," I whispered.
He nodded and scribbled something down on an old posted note. I took it thanked him and walked out.
When I walked outside I saw Cameron talking to a local.
"Hey hon'," the local said as I approached.
"Hello Miss," I nodded.
"You look familiar," she said staring at me.
"Some people say I look like the long lost princess Scarlett Rose," I replied jokingly.
"That's it! Thats who yer look like," she exclaimed.
"Yes yes. Thank you for the compliment but we must be going," I said and Cameron slipped his arm around my shoulders.
"Well yer two get on yer way then. Thanks yer for talking to me," the women smiled sweetly.
We waved good bye and then Cameron looked at me in the way that said it all.
"Well your old women are the same as they are at my home. Always talking," Cameron pulled his arm away from me and then handed me Storm-Brooke's lead.
"Oh yes. Well I got the information so lets get there before night fall," I took the lead and started walking towards the address Ted wrote down.
