The town was huge with about a hundred houses, three whole streets of stores, and five hotels with at least ten floors each. When we rode into town, we had our cloaks on and let Windy do the talking.
"Excuse me miss," she asked one of the ladies selling fruit.
"A pixie? We don't get pixies very often," the woman looked up at Windy.
"You suck at lying. Now tell me, Agatha, what is this town called," Windy was impatient as ever with the lack of sleep.
"The locals call it Cloud City but its true name is Flumen Town," the woman spoke softly. "It means 'River Town'."
"Thank you," Windy then flew back to us. "Flumen Town. You were right Scarlett."
"Good. Now we just need to find my uncle," the group nodded and we started off down the road to the houses.
The homes were sorted by normal powerless people, half-wolves, shape shifters, Shadow-Hunters, spell casters, and finally the farmers.
"Which section do we need to go to," Toby inquired.
"Spell casters. And he's your uncle too," I said.
We followed the road signs to Warlock Street. Lamest road name ever. We rode up to the first house and let Windy knock on the door. The door opened, but know one stood in the door way.
"Alright, spell caster. Enough with the games," Windy rolled her eyes.
"A pixie," a man appeared in the doorway, laughing. "A pixie wants to talk a spell caster?"
"Yes," she spat. "I have a simple question and if you can't answer it then you are worthless to me."
"Fine," he seemed to be holding back a laugh. "What's your dear question?"
"Peter Hayzen. What's his address," as Windy spoke, the spell caster's eyes grew.
"Peter Hayzen?! You must be insane to want to talk to him! Beware little pixie. Beware," he slammed the door in her small face at once.
"Well that was eventful," Windy grinned as she flew back to us.
"Now we just need to knock on every door on this street to find him," Toby grinned at me.
"Well lets break up. Toby you go with Dan and Cameron come with me. Windy," I turned to her. "Can you go by yourself? Spells don't effect pixies so would you please go by yourself."
"Of course," she grinned. "I love warlocks."
I shook my head and motioned for them to go.
"Meet us at Peter's house guys," I then turned to Cameron. "Ready?"
He answered by pulling Sky-Ghost's bridle and turning him to the houses. Windy had flown all the way down to the end of the street and Toby and Dan had started in the middle. I dismounted from my unicorn and attached her lead. I tied the other end to Sky-Ghost.
"Welcome traveler. What brings you to Warlock Street," he smiled slightly.
"Peter Hayzen. Where is his house," I asked only to have the door slammed in my face.
The next house was the same. And the house after that and the house after that. At the fifth house a woman answered.
"Hello dearest traveler," she spoke with wisdom.
"Peter Hayzen. Do you know where he lives," I was prepared for a door in my face.
"Traveler, no. I do know but I will not tell you," the woman looked slightly afraid.
"Why will you not tell me," I asked.
"Because. You will walk into your unfortunate death," she observed my hood. "Who are you?"
"I am his niece. And my mother, his sister, said he lived here but she didn't mange to finish the address before she died," I said softly.
"Oh dear no. Peter Hayzen will not love you, he only loves his daughter. No one else," she looked sorry for me.
"Thank you I guess," I turned around and began to leave.
"Wait," she called and I turned around. "Seventeenth house on the left."
"Thank you," I said before she closed the door.
I counted the houses and waited for Windy, Dan and Toby to get there. They all looked defeated and shook their heads when they got close enough.
"I got nothing. Are you sure he lives here," Dan asked.
"Yep. This is his house," I smiled and motioned to the house in front of us.
"Scarlett. We already knocked on that door. Nobody is home," Toby said, almost sadly.
"That's ok. We can wait till he gets home," I said but Windy shook her head.
"Look. I hate to be a downer but thats IF he gets home," she said quietly and I leaned against Storm-Brooke's flank, defeated.
"I want to knock one more time. Just to make sure," I walked up to the door and knocked.
Nothing. No movement. No one answering the door. Nothing but silence. I crumbled to my knees. Peter Hayzen was the only person that knew where the Dream Ghost was. Without him, I couldn't beat Ari. Without him I couldn't become queen.
Cameron had his hands on my shoulders whispering to me. I shook my head, I wasn't leaving. I would just have to break down the door. I stood, pushing Cameron back and I pulled out my anima-gladio out. I sliced it down through the door. The strength mark Dan had gave me glowed a bright black as I sliced the door.
The door came down, I had sliced the hinges off.
"I hope they don't consider this breaking and entering," Cameron said, grinning.
"You can't enter," a small voice said from inside. "My daddy has put a spell so that no one can enter. That is unless you get daddy's permission."
"Well we don't want to come in. We just want to speak with your daddy," I said gently.
"Daddy doesn't like visitors," the girl had now shown herself. "But even if he did, he's not home right now."
"Ok thats alright. When is he coming home," I smiled at the little girl.
"At five. Which is in a half hour," she smiled at me. "You must be the girl he said would come to talk to him. And I know because you aren't afraid to cut our door down."
I grinned and nodded and she plopped down in front of the door. She looked about six, dark brown hair reached her waist. She had green eyes, like all warlocks. Her yellow summer dress had a V-neck. Around her neck was a necklace. It had a pendent of a book. I assumed it was The Book Of Remembrance which was a spell book. The first spell book ever written.
"I like your necklace," Dan said from behind me.
"Thanks! Whats your names," she was clearly curious.
"Mine is Scarlett, this is Cameron, thats Toby, thats Dan and the pixie is Windy," I pointed to everyone as I said their names.
"Cool! My name is Hannah," Hannah's smile suddenly grew.
"What are you grinning about, Hannah," I demanded.
"Daddy's home," was all she said before I threw up a protective spell around us all.
