Cameron's eyes sparkled with excitement and suddenly, like a wall had just been taken down, I could read his very thought, read his every emotion and predict his every move. I had a feeling he could to, so I said through our thoughts- 'hello Cameron!' He looked at me strangely.
"Just think a reply," I said.
'Alright. Hello Scarlett' he thought.
I smiled and thought 'whenever you need to say something that nobody else needs to hear, just think it.'
He nodded and remounted. I took the towel he was using and stuffed it back in the saddle bag. I then leaped back on Storm-Brooke and led the way across the bridge.
Sesame's fur rose and she let out a low growl. 'Easy' I thought to her 'easy girl'.
"I know you are in that bush. I also know you know who I am. And I need your help," I said towards the bushes.
Five white wolves rose from the brush and the largest of the five shifted.
"Greetings your Highness. It's been a while since we last saw you. Everyone thinks you are dead," his voice was filled with wisdom and authority.
"Alpha," I nodded my head respectfully. "I need your help with two things. One I need to get to Mudge Isle and two if any royal guards come here do not let them pass. Tell them off."
He flicked his tail towards two wolves and the stepped forward.
"You two go with her and her friend. Quickly. Then report back to the clan home and tell my mate that we are no longer letting any royal guards on our territory. Tell her I will explain later. Go now," the alpha instructed. "Also come back with three more fighters and one watcher."
We then began following the two through the forest. Their pace was slower then the other Isle of wolves but not super slow. Finally we reached the bridge. The wolves didn't bother shifting to tell us how much father till Mudge Isle, they just raced off the way we had come.
"They were rude," Cameron commented.
"Yeah whatever though we have to keep going," I said.
We then crossed the large bridge to the next Isle. Sesame's fur rose and she began growling and snarling.
"This is it. We are at Mudge Isle. And Sesame please stop," I sighed.
Four large black wolves stood in our way, not letting us even get off the bridge. One of them shifted. He was young and timid and he spoke quietly.
"Who are you and what so you want," he whispered.
"I am the real queen and I'm here to talk to your alpha. And I want to talk to him now," I growled.
Before the little boy could speak a cruel looking wolf shifted.
"Well you ain't seeing him. No one is. And Scarlett Rose died a long time ago, you can't be her," he snarled.
"Toby Toby Toby. Haven't changed much have you? Still as mean, still as hopeless as you were before," I smirked. "And I will see your grandfather now."
"Scarlett," his expression changed. "You're alive!? Oh Scarlett I missed you!"
"Stay back," I growled. "And take me to him now. And you others might want to stay back. The royal guards are just itching to come on your territory."
