By the time we arrived at my aunts house it was growing to be nightfall. With my hands shaking from nervousness, I slowly walked up to the big wooden door. Cameron walked behind me and as soon as I stopped at the door Cameron wrapped his arms around me, resting his chin on my head.

I slowly lifted my hand up to knock on the door. My hand was visibly shaking as I balled it into a fist. I then knocked on the door.

The knock seemed to ring through the town, and my life was in slow motion. I was knocked out of my trance when a firm female voice began talking.

"By golly who is knocking at this hour of the night," it said and the door nob turned.

The door flew opened and the women standing there was my adopted aunt Nancy. Her jaw dropped at the sight of me.

"Aunt Nancy, I-" I was cut off because she hugged me tightly.

I hugged her back, it felt good to hug someone I truly knew and loved.

She then pulled back, tears dripping down her face. She then ushered us in.

"Scarlett! When I heard about Annabella I thought you had died with her! Scarlett it's so good to see you! I missed you so much," Nancy said dancing around what appeared to be her kitchen.

"Nancy, Cameron. Cameron, Nancy," I introduced them quickly.

"Alright fine Scarlett. What business do you have here, for me," she asked flatly.

"I'm back in Balinor to kick Ari's sorry ass. I need you for directions somewhere," I said giving her my grade A smile.

"Bad idea Scarlett. Really bad idea. You want to know why? Cuz she's working with Rick Baylock," Nancy said sadly.

I froze, my whole body. This was impossible! Ari was bad but was she really bad enough to work with him?

"Rick who," he exclaimed, breaking me from my thoughts.

"Rick Baylock. He is THE enemy. He is one of the few shifters. He is the reason Balinor has an elite army and good kings and queens. He is the reason mothers worry for their kids safety at night. We had him locked up for about a hundred years but he's bound to be more powerful now," I spat the words out.

"And sweetie one more thing before I get you two to bed. Your parents are alive," Nancy whispered.

My heart stopped and my breath caught in my throat. I began shaking from shock and fear. A tidal wave of thoughts hit me all at once. This was just to much. Alive? Really? My birth parents alive? The light around me faded completely.

I watched as Scarlett fell and instinctively my arms shot out and grabbed her before she hit the floor. Her aunt watched me as I picked her up, hugging her head to my chest. I then sat down in the nearest chair, still holding her.

"Well why don't you tell me the details and I'll get them to her," I looked into Nancy's eyes.

"Well it's a long story and I'd rather tell it to Scarlett then some worthless boy who probably happened to fall through the gap," Nancy growled. "But I bet you both probably want something to eat. I'll go hunt something."

Suddenly she became a huge werewolf with beautiful brown fur tinted with red. I gasped as she walked over to me. Her tail flipped towards the door.
