~~~~~
I awoke with a start, shaking and sweating. Deep breathes I told myself. I sat up and took five deep breathes. The same dream kept haunting me. The same prophecy haunted my every dream.
"Scarlett," Cameron whispered and I looked down to him.
"What," I hissed quietly back.
"Lay back down. It was just a dream," he whispered softly and I sighed.
I lied back down, bringing the sleeping bag top cover back over my body. Cameron slide his arm around me and I buried my face in his chest.
"It's alright Scarlett. It was just a dream," Cameron squeezed me tightly.
I relaxed my body and melted into him. I fell asleep sometime after that.
"Should we wake 'em up," Toby whispered.
"Naw. They look so cute together," Hannah giggled softly. "Lets make breakfast and leave them alone."
With that Hannah and Toby turned away and walked over to the tent's fire room to cook breakfast.
"Scarlett. Scarlett wake up," Cameron shook me softly. "Breakfast is ready."
My eyes opened slowly and I blinked a few times. I sat up and looked around. I was in the tent, Dan, Toby, Hannah, Windy and Cameron were all looking expectantly at me.
"Sorry," I muttered and stood up.
My clothes were wrinkled and my hair was knotted. I ran my hand through it but it was no use.
"Don't worry," Hannah grinned at me. "Toby scoped out a river a mile away to shower in."
"Thanks Toby," I smiled weakly at him.
"You don't look the best, Scarlett," Toby said, a worried expression on his face.
"Not a very good night," I said. "Nightmares. The usually."
"Scarlett," Toby started but I held my hand up.
"You don't need to share my secrets in front of them," I growled.
"Sorry," he muttered before Dan walked up with a wooden bowl and a spoon.
"Soup," Dan handed me the bowl. "Enjoy."
I gulped it down before I looked t the rest of the group. Windy was sitting on Dan's shoulder whispering something in his ear and Hannah and Toby were standing very close together. Cameron stood over by Sesame, watching me. I walked over and rinsed out my bowl with some warm water.
"So Scarlett. Where to today," Hannah asked breaking the silence.
"The Dream Ghost is still about three weeks away and there is someone I need to see today," I said throwing my bowl at Dan.
"Who," Toby and Hannah said in unison. Hannah blushed slightly and I grinned.
"Annabella's old," I gagged on my own words.
"Old," Hannah asked, gesturing to continue.
"Hannah shut it," Cameron growled and placed a reassuring hand on my back. "Deep breathes Scarlett."
"Friend. Probably friend," Dan concluded.
"Why don't you buys take down the tent and we will ready the unicorns," Windy asked sweetly.
"Wonderful idea," Hannah said softly.
Windy flew over to my shoulder and Sesame stuck to my side as we walked out of the tent.
"Sorry," Hannah muttered as I walked by her.
"It's alright," I gave her a weak smile. "Just memories."
Sesame growled loudly and stopped. My eyes widened and frantically searched the land in front of us.
"Uh," Windy looked a little stunned. "The unicorns are gone."
"Holy fuck," I yelled and then looked down at Sesame. "Storm-Brooke is near. I can feel her."
Sesame shot away from me and disappeared into the woods I raced after her, Hannah and Windy followed me. Soon we heard five sharp, short barks. Danger. Then a snarl, a shout and silence.
"Sesame," I screamed.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I collapsed sobbing repeating the same word over and over again. Nononononononono. No. She's not gone. No. Nononono.
"What the fuck is going on," Dan yelled and Toby, who had shifted, growled.
"No," I whispered. "No."
My world collapsed around me and everything went black. My heart seemed to drop down into my stomach just as the black completely incased me.
I groaned softly as my eyes opened. I blinked a few times before I realized my surroundings. I was in a small bed room. The door was opened just a crack and all the windows were opened so the sound of chirping birds echoed in.
I remembered what happened and my heart sunk deep down into my stomach. Sesame. She couldn't be gone. No. No. No. No.
"Looks like she's awake," a old women's voice said.
I shot up, frantically looking for anything I could use as a weapon. I grabbed a ruler.
"Stay back," I warned holding the ruler out before me.
"Scarlett. Put the damn ruler down and come here," Cameron stood in the doorway.
I dropped the ruler and raced into his arms. He squeezed me tightly.
"Cameron where are we," I asked him.
"Annabella's old friends house," Cameron let go of me and grinned. "She stole the unicorns just so she could get our attention."
"Sesame," I asked in a strangled voice.
"Is fine. You forgot to mention Annabella's friend is a warlock," Cameron smiled brightly. "She just put a knock out spell on Sesame."
I let out a huge sigh in relief. Thank god. I looked around the room but didn't see her anywhere and I began panicking again. Cameron laughed slightly before he shook his head.
"She's in the other room still knocked out," Cameron held me back from darting out of the room. "You can see her in a sec. After you talk to Megan."
"No Cameron," I growled softly. "You don't understand we need to leave now. Like right now. Megan's not a warlock she's a witch. Witches and wizards are bad news. I only need to give her a piece of paper but now we are stuck here until she's done experimenting with us. She put a knock out spell on me so I couldn't tell you guys about her."
"Now now now," Megan cackled evilly behind Cameron. "That isn't a way to talk to your host."
"Cameron what ever you do don't move," I hissed through clenched teeth. "She'll kill us all in a second. We are going to need to get out of here."
