We rode through the day, through the next night and through the next day before finally stopping. None of us really wanted to stop for the night because we were so close to the Dream Ghost. But the unicorns needed rest and so did we. Toby had scoped out a little stream to bathe in and drink from, which we were all thankful for.
So in no time we had the tent set up and we were all clean and feed. Toby was the first to speak.
"I can't shift anymore guys," Toby said, slightly embarrassed.
"Well good that means tomorrow we will reach the Dream Ghost by early tomorrow," Hannah stated, smiling lightly at Toby. "The Dream Ghost doesn't particularly like powerful creatures accessing their powers around the him."
"This is amazing. Like I never thought I'd actually meet the Dream Ghost," Dan said, almost dumfounded.
"It is kinda amazing. And hopefully the Dream Ghost will give me the answers I need," I said smiling.
"Wait. Will we have to ride all the way back to the castle," Cameron asked.
"Nope. The Dream Ghost will send us back to the castle where, if he chooses to help us, all of our army will be waiting," Hannah smiled at the thought.
"Wait so he could choose to not help us," Cameron asked, eyes widening.
"Well the only help we really need is a army. I know we will fight Ari no matter what but we need a army and the Dream Ghost can grant that wish," I smiled blissfully before standing. "Let's head to bed so we can get there early tomorrow."
I was the first to wake up and excitement made my stomach butterflies awaken with me. I quickly went around, waking the others, excitement glittered in their eyes too. I smiled and hummed as I made a quick breakfast.
"Why so happy," Cameron asked, hugging me from behind.
"Because! It all ends today Cameron," I exclaimed then began singing. "Soon it will be over and buried without past."
"Oh god not that song," Hannah muttered. "I hate Of Monsters And Men."
(A/N- I love the band but I feel as if Hannah's not the type of person to like them!!!)
"Cheer up girl! It's over hon," I said, dancing over to her.
"Don't you remember that there is a war brewing? Don't you remember everyone is gonna die or get hurt," she whispered, her voice sad.
"Hon, right now we need to focus on being positive. I know the war is coming but, hey brighten up while you can," I smiled and lightly patted her back.
Hannah nodded slightly, then plastered a smile on her face. I grinned at her and then went over to Storm-Brooke and mounted her. Since we had packed everything up right after breakfast we were ready. Well physically ready.
"You guys ready," I asked after taking a deep breath.
They all nodded, smiles light up their faces.
"Let's go," I yelled and they all jumped on their unicorns and we raced off.
In two hours we stopped. Hannah shook slightly, mouthing the spell she'd have to recite for the Dream Ghost. I nodded at her and she took a deep breath before answering.
"I'm ready. Scarlett stand by me. The rest of you line up, shoulders touching, behind us. Do not speak at all. Do not be frighten," she smiled at us as we dismounted and came to stand by her. "You will become a spirt and fly up to meet the Dream Ghost. Don't be afraid of him. He's actually real nice."
"Ok then. Let's so this," I said, and everyone nodded their ready's.
So Hannah began chanting. The Latin words slipped out of her mouth with such ease. Everything went white before we began floating. Hannah chanted louder and we rose higher.
Then, bam. Just like that we were in a cloud castle. A beautiful red carpet rolled out in front of us, willing us to follow. I looked at Hannah who nodded and lead the pack.
"Princess Scarlett Rose," a booming voice asked. "And my dear friend Hannah Hayzen. And their friends. What a delight!"
I looked up and saw the most beautiful throne ever. It glowed a soft, warm silver and every kind of gem that ever existed was in the throne. Hen I looked up at the Dream Ghost.
His heavenly figure glowed a warm inviting light. His eyes were icy against his pale skin. They were royal blue. The royal color. A smile was placed on his face, a warm one. Then he spoke again.
"What do I owe the homers to, Princess," he asked sweetly.
"Dream Ghost," I began looking into his beautiful eyes. "My friends and I asked of the help you can give. We need to defeat Ari and bring Balinor back to it's former glory."
He nodded thoughtfully and looked over my friends before speaking.
"I see you have brought a half-wolf, a warlock, a loyal pet, a hunter and a soul mate," he looked at me and I nodded. "But you have forgotten a pixie."
My heart shattered. Windy I thought. Memories rushed back and tears flooded freely down my face.
"Along the journey, my dear friend died for me," I whispered between sobs.
"Windy Willows? My dear friend, she has come to me as a spirt and said she was with you guys," he laughed. "Of course! How could I forget!"
I nodded painfully and sobered up a bit. The Dream Ghost laughed again before smiling gently at me.
"My dear. She is in my castle now. She's in a happier place. Windy would not like to see you like this dearest," the Dream Ghost pulled me into a hug.
His hug was he warmest hug I'd ever gotten. It was filled with love and power.
"You have been loyal. You have proven yourself. I will help you on one condition," he paused, released me and sat back down. "You must promise to never forget anyone or anything. Your personality shows me that you're not afraid to die for others. You've showed me everything a leader needs. But never forget Scarlett Rose. Annabella has taught you well enough. Now you need is a army, which I give you now."
Then everything went white then bam. We were at the castles front steps.
