"Hi, Rose, how are you doing?" asked one of my mom's many friends.
We were having people over for dinner. My parents' friends. It wasn't going to be very interesting. I mean, grownup conversation topics, grownup jokes, grownup problems... Nothing interesting.
So, instead of listening to those boring things, I thought about Oliver and Leo. How was I going to get over Oliver? How was I going to seduce Leo? It wasn't going to be easy. Especially considering the fact that I didn't like Leo the way I liked Oliver. He didn't make my heart beat really fast like Oliver did. He didn't make my stomach feel like butterflies were flying inside of it. Yet. And I really hoped that he would soon.
