"Rose, let's go, we're going to be late!"
"Yeah, yeah, coming!" I yelled from my room.I had finished "The Fault In Our Stars" the previous night, and I had started reading a new book, "Just One Day". It's a love story about two people (a girl and a guy), who meet in a train, and who decide to go visit Paris together for "just one day". Then, they fall in love, except they are only able to stay together for a day. So far, it seemed like a good book.
So, anyways, I was really interested in my book and I had a hard time taking my eyes away from the book and getting up. I did, eventually, get up and join my mother.
"We are going to be late because of you. Honestly, Rose, is it too much to ask..." I didn't bother listening to the rest of her speech, it was the same as always. She was going to tell me that I was irresponsible, always late, that later in life I was going to be unable to find a job because of my constant lateness... I didn't want to hear her load of crap.
So, instead, I thought about what would happen if Oliver asked me to go to Paris with him for "just one day".
