"Liv, come to the board and do question five," demanded Mrs. Cuncun.

Liv is one of my classmates. She stood up and went to the board, where she did the exercise.

"Okay next, Rose, please come up and do question six for us," said Mrs. Cuncun once Liv was done.

I got up hesitantly. It was the first time since the beginning of the year that I was called up to the board. I walked on the little alley that was formed between the desks. I felt like I had been walking for a whole minute when I finally got to the board. I took a marker and started writing.

"Feathers," whispered someone.
"What?" I asked, turning around and looking at my classmates.
"What just happened, guys?" Mrs. Cuncun asked as well.
"They just said you had nice earrings," answered a student.

I smiled. This morning, I had put on a beautiful pair of large red feather earrings.

"Oh, thank you," I replied, grateful. "Who said that?"
"Oliver."
"Oh, okay, well thanks," I answered, feeling the redness invade my cheeks.

He was all red too and was avoiding my eye contact. I quickly finished, answering this question on the board. Then, I went back to my seat and tried to make myself invisible.
