I felt a slight breeze on my face. It was cold and smelt bitter. I licked my cracked lips and lifted my head up. I was in a room that was all white and I couldn't find the source of the breeze. I sat up quickly, observing the room. It seemed there wasn't any way out. What the hell? I was locked in this room? My stomach began to crawl to my throat as I felt like I was free falling. The walls collapsed and the floor fell out from under me. I was falling. I was falling and I didn't know where I would land. Colors flashed by me and so did screeching sounds. I was looking at the bright flashes when my body was suddenly consumed by something. It felt cold and empty. I opened my eyes again to see I was in what seems to be a black hole. But I came to realize I was underwater. I floated to the surface, shivering. I swam a couple yards to a near iceberg and lifted myself up onto it. I laid down to catch my breath as I was shivering and began to sweat. And that's what was happening; I was beginning to sweat. I looked around and didnt see why but then I felt the iceberg. The iceberg began to smoke and get hotter and hotter. It felt like I was in a frying pan. My skin began to singe and I began violently screaming.

I flung up in bed, screaming and sweating. What the hell? I was back in the same room as before. it was all a dream. The nurse rushed over to me and laid a hand in my back and reassured me it was going to be okay. She brought me a cup of water and I began to drink. Once i was finished, there was a knock on the door and the doctor came it. "Why, hello, Levi. It's good to see you again. How are you

?" A fake smile played across his face an I sat up. "I'm well, considering the circumstances." He let out a small laugh and walked to the side of my bed. "Do you understand what happened? What happened to you and why you are here?" I crinkled my forehead and thought of the answer. I thought long and hard. It seemed like 10 minutes before I answered. "No, I don't know." I trailed off, staring in the opposite direction. I didn't want to know what happened..it was going to be too hard to handle. He cleared his throat and began the explanation. "It seemed you had bought a plane ticket and came to America. Why? We don't know. You were on a bus going somewhere. Where? We don't know. But what we do know is that there was a storm. This storm crashed the bus and you were in serious trouble. Good thing the EMT's got to you when they did or you would have died. You woke up and we arranged your living conditions. You seemed foggy and not fully with us and soon passed out again. You didn't wake up for a couple of days and the doctors were about to finalize the statement that you were in a coma. When we moved you here, you didn't even flinch or seem disturbed in your sleep. Then you woke up and we told you the news. See, the brain is a delicate organ, and a vital one at that. You must of hit your head during the bus crash and you receive terrible brain damaged. We questioned you and came to the conclusion that you have lost memory from the past 4 or 5 years. What happened in those few years? We have no record because you came from the UK." I just sat there, staring at the floor. I didn't know what to say and I didn't want to believe it. But I searched through my mind and there was places filled with blackness.. They were right. Tears began to fall from my eyes and I began to shake suddenly. I looked at him and he knew he was right. He cleared his throat once more and began. "All we know is your mother and father are no longer with us. Also, Levi. You are 17 years old, not 12. We found a lot of scarring on your body. Do you remember how you got them?" He looked concerned but I knew it wasn't real. I thought and thought and came to a reasonable answer. "I don't remember." God, I was so pathetic. All I knew is that I didn't want to be here anymore. I need to get out and have fun. Hospitals have become my second home. He looked down and wrote on a notebook. "When can I leave?" I looked at him, having high hopes of a good answer. He looked at the nurse and then back at me. "Soon, probably tomorrow but that could be dangerous. You don't even know why you are here. " he points out the obvious reasons but I knew I was going to leave anyways. I began to smirk to myself and looked at him in the eye. "I am fine. Tomorrow, I am leaving and you will never see me again." I said it sharp and stiff, hoping he would hear how serious I was. He recoiled in disgust, almost as if he was hurt. "And I mean it." I choke out. He gathered his things in his bag and stood up. "Good day, Levi." He shouts over his shoulder as he walks away. He slams the door and I jump. "Well, honey, if you don't have a doctor, I can't be here." The nurse cut through my thoughts. She began to take out my IV's and disconnected all monitors. I felt a smirk play on my face. She glanced once at me sympathetically and walked out the door, leaving the thud ring through the air. I sat up. My back was stiff and my legs hurt. I gently slung them off the bed and began to apply pressure. I stood, wobbly, but I stood. I slowly walked towards the kitchen and opened the cabinets. Why the hell would there be a bottle of whiskey in here. I felt my mouth began to water, craving the burning taste of the whiskey. I grabbed the bottle and wobbled back to my bed. I flipped on the tv, reclined my legs up, and opened the bottle. I smirked as I look a sip. "Wow.. I never imagined my first time drinking to be like this."
