CHAPTER 28 - Accepted X New Journey

Tsezguerra's P.O.V.

I still felt my heart beating in an abnormal rate and my breathing was short and rapid. Cold sweat has already soaked my clothes and there was still a huge weight felt on my body.

My eyes were wide in horror and surprise as they were stuck on the person who caused me act this way. The person was in the same exact place since he/she arrived.

"Y-you...how?" My voice came out as a stutter. Usually, I would be angered at my reaction that obviously showed that I was scared and surprised but I did not care at this moment. This person...is not normal.

The person shrugged as a reply. This was actually the first time this person actually made a movement other than walking.

"Y-you pass. P-please go through that door with the other accepted candidates." The person nodded, bowed, and left through the door.

It felt as if the air wasn't as heavy as it was when that person was here, but my heart was still beating fast and my eyes couldn't seem to relax into a normal gaze.

Looking around, I don't see any damages that the cloaked person made even though he/she seemed to break the entire city with that power.

"All these kids are crazy...but that person with the hood... is a monster."

Tenshi's P.O.V.

"Tenshi-san!" I was immediately greeted by my two friends as soon as I stepped foot into the room.

"Yeah! We all made it!" Gon cheered in his usual happy attitude that I love. My eyes seem to soften every time I am with these people who I call my best friends but it did not bother me at all. It felt good to have people to care and fight for.

Looking at both boys, I feel happiness and warmth. This only made me smile and let out a little giggle.

"Shall we go take a seat?" I asked softly so only they can hear. Gon and Killua nod in agreement and we went over to some seats.

"Was that huge explosion you, Gon?" I asked the younger spiky head boy. He made an awkward laugh and rubbed his nape nervously.

"Yeah.." I pat his head in a motherly way. Gon looked at me with confusion yet a hint with some other emotion that I did not catch because once I saw it, the look in his eyes immediately disappeared.

"Don't worry. I'm not mad. That explosion was amazing!" Gon's eyes glisten with pride and excitement as I encouraged him.

"Tch!" I turn to see Killua pouting with a small glare.

"I was amazing too, you know?" I giggle a little at his jealousy and messed his hair with my hand.

"Of course you were, Killua." Killua was shocked at first but then started to boast about being strong. I mentally laugh as I watch him and Gon start arguing about who is stronger.

Cough! Cough!

Being rudely interrupted, we all look down to see Tsezguerra with some papers in his hands. He passed them to all the accepted candidates then cleared his throat to probably say something boring again.

"Well, let me congratulate all of you who have passed. There are a total of 22 people in here who have the right to play the game, Greed Island. Upon winning the game, you will win 50 billion jenny. The contract you have in your hands explain all the details. Read and sign it before your departure which is at 5PM sharp. That is all." He finished and left the room.

"Oi! Let's all go to Leorio-san and ask if he can read the contract for exact measures." Gon suggested. Killua and I nod and we then found ourselves in a pizza place with Leorio.

"Cheers! You've made it through he first stage!" The elder cheered with excitement.
I look over at Gon and give him a small nudge. He looks at me then gives a nod when he saw what I meant. He takes out the contract that Tsezguerra gave us and holds it out to Leorio to take.

"Leorio-san, can you take a look at this." Leorio took the paper in his hands with curiosity.

"What's this? A contract?" He asked.

From there on, I just started to zone off into my wonderland.

I wonder how Kurapika is doing.

That was the first thing that popped into my mind. Even though it has only been a day or two, I missed him. My body ached for his warmth and comfort that it kinda hurt. The thoughts of possibilities that can happen to him, good or bad, would crash into my head.

Biting my lip, ruffling my hair, and touching my cloaked head would be signs when I am being bombarded by imagines of what could have happened to my dear friend. It stresses me out but I had to act as if I'm okay in front of Gon and Killua. It just adds more weight on my shoulders. At least it wasn't like when I was with Ryoko...

"Right, Tenshi?" I was quickly saved from my thoughts by none other than Gon.

"Hmm?" Killua sighs and looks at me with a mischievous glint.

"Ah~! Tenshi-san has been daydreaming...again." He teased but I shrugged it off.

"What did you ask, Gon? I wasn't listening. I'm sorry." Gon gives me a smile as a sign that he forgives me before speaking.

"It's okay. I was just asking if you were ready to go to Greed Island to find Ging." He said. I smile and nod in agreement.

I'm okay as long as I know that you guys will be safe.

"Let me explain a few things before we get started." Tsezguerra stated.

All the accepted candidates were in the same room. The room was filled with Greed Island games and it impressed me greatly. Battera must have something that motivates or pushed him to get all these games even though they cost billions.

"No matter which copy of the game you choose, you will be transported to the same area in the game. To put it simple, they're not independent. Now, that it is cleared, I will pass out the memory cards."

Tsezguerra made us play rock-paper-scissors to make an order on who goes first since the game only allows one person at a time.

Gon turned out to first, I was third, and Killua was the seventeenth to enter the game.

Gon used his memory card that was given to him by Ging and entered the game.

Time went by and the three of us was finally together in the game. We all smile as we gaze at the seemingly endless plain, awaiting for a new exciting journey.

The purpose for this author's note is to inform my dear readers about an idea I came up with but am not sure about yet.

My idea was to do the Hunter x Hunter crossover to One Piece though instead of making a new story about it, I will connect it to Miracles in a Lifetime. Tenshi, Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and the Phantom Troupe will be crossing over to the amazing One Piece world for an even more exciting journey. I will even put more rivals for Kurapika and Feitan in the war for Tenshi's heart so please look forward to it.
