CHAPTER 45 - Enemies X And X Rivals

Kurapika's P.O.V.

"I don't think I've met you before..." I muttered to the male in front of me with a scowl. He just gave back a glare and looked at Ren then back at me with narrowed eyes which made me a bit confused yet I stayed stoic faced.

"Yeah... you..not meet me but you seen me." He said in a husky voice. His Japanese was broken and I knew right away that he isn't Japanese.

"Why are you here...Spider." I hissed out.

"I was on my way...to where I was found..." He whispered but I heard it loud and clear. If I'm not mistaken, the closest location from here is Meteor City.

"Why are you here, Chain User Bastard?" He asked and I looked at Ren.

"We are looking for someone." I said, still looking at Ren.

"Who?" I turn my head a little at the sound of his voice. He had a hint of worry in his voice but I could be imagining it.

"None of your business." I stated and looked him with a glare but he was no where to be seen until he appeared right in front of me with a knife at my throat.

"I...ask..you question." He once again said in broken Japanese. We glared at each other for maybe hours until I finally opened my mouth.

"My friend and my future lover, Tenshi." I said and I saw anger flash through his eyes. He threw a hard punch at me which made my body fly far away and made me skid on the ground harshly.

"Tenshi will be mine..." I heard from above me so I look to see the man. What he said made my whole system burn with rage and the pain on my body faded away.

"How the hell did you even meet Tenshi?" I asked while jabbing my finger into his chest and he just gave me a smirk behind that dumb cloth wrapped around his mouth that had a skull imprinted on it.

Feitan's P.O.V.

"I met her when she and those brats went to Greed Island. She got lost and that's when I had the chance to talk to her." I smirked at his face with his eyes flickering scarlet. This bastard. Calling Tenshi his. How dare he!

He's not the only one who is in love with her! This stupid brat.

"We need to get going. Who knows what that woman will do to Tenshi. We need to get there quick!" That scaly reptile interrupted as we both turn to look at him slowly. I forgot he was even there.

"What was that? What happened to Tenshi? Where is she?" I asked the small lizard who'd remembered Tenshi calling him by Ren. Ren was about to tell me something but I saw the bastard put his hand up, signaling for him not to talk any further. The brat glared at me with those unique colored eyes with such rage yet there was a bit of confusion.

"Why do you care of Tenshi?" He growled out and I gave him a sly look.

"If you remembered, I clued that I have feelings for Tenshi by declaring she is mine. Did you really think you're the only one who has feelings stronger than friendship towards Tenshi? We are enemies and now we are rivals for Tenshi's heart. Simple as that." I muttered out slowly so I can think I of what I will say so I won't sound stupid and speak in broken Japanese again.

"Tenshi will never fall for a cold hearted criminal like you!" He raged but I just looked at him with dull eyes. He really likes to ramble on and argue. I wouldn't even be talking so much if it wasn't for this bastard and his feelings for the person I am deeply in love with too. I need to look tough in front of my rival. To make him feel subconscious and fear for the possibility of me winning Tenshi's heart.

This blonde haired brat was about to land a blow at my face but I immediately dodge the attack and grab his fist with emotionless eyes. I thought this would be amusing. I guess not. I keep his hand in place without trying but I can see how hard this brat tried to hit me. It was futile nonetheless but I wanted to see how determined he was to hit me.

"Tenshi will be my girlfriend. Not yours. You are a murderer of many bad but also many innocent lives. Even children!! Even the elderly! You do not deserve a woman like Tenshi! Wait! You don't even deserve any love in your life. You would just end up killing them anyways!" He screamed in my face. Each word piercing into me rather painfully.

I really did do all those things and I wouldn't have cared about it in the past but now as different. I have a girl I love. I don't want her to hate how stained my hands are of blood even if I did kill bad people who has done crimes but I've also killed many innocent live like what this blonde insect is telling me. Do even I have a chance against this bastard? Tenshi would obviously pick someone who is better suited for her heart and I currently feel that I am not the right one for her. She does deserve better but I can't help but want to try harder to be that guy who is qualified to be by her side. No matter what.

"This is really infuriating me. We need to go to Tenshi before it's too late. I do not want to repeat this again and I do not plan to. I can go there alone if I have to. Continue your fight. Tenshi will be thrilled with the news when I get to her." The red lizard spoke up which brought me back to reality.

He flaps his wings and flies away in a fast speed with the blonde bastard tailing him. They thought they can outrun me? Heh! Well, you've got a lot coming at you if you keep underestimating me!

I then ran to them and caught up a bit too easily. The yellow crayon which is now my rival and enemy, sent me a glare and kept trying to pass me but I go faster every time. Tenshi's small pet would roll his eyes and fly faster every time we accelerated.
