CHAPTER 43 - Captured X Injection

Gon's P.O.V.

The woman in front of us spewed out nonsense and I was so close to blowing up. Killing? Pain? What kind of gifts are those?! They are a curse!

That is something no one would want to experience. They are things people would usually try to avoid. Unless they became a complete maniac like this woman in front of us.

I look over at Tenshi-san to see her with an emotionless facade which shocked me a bit. Her usual calm expression was gone and her small glint of gentleness and kindness was gone and glazed over with a bit of fear and wavering determination.

I knew for a fact that this woman was somewhat a person Tenshi-san knows and has met in the past due to how Tenshi-san did not show any shock or confusion as she listened to this psychopath speaking gibberish. They must be connected somehow.

"Gon, that is Ryoko, the Bloody Widow. She is the most infamous solo assassin in this whole world. She goes place to place to kill with no reason to do so. The innocent and the bad people were both slaughtered by that woman's hands. In the most gruesome ways possible too. Her kills were so horrible that even my family, the Zoldycks, were frightened by her. This is why we became enemies with her. We kill for the money and show a bit of compassion when we murder a soul but this person... she just kills for the joy of it. She doesn't do it for money or for fame, she just enjoys killing random souls." Killua explained to me in a hushed tone but I knew that both women, Tenshi-san and Ryoko, heard his statement.

"You studied well, boy. Not surprising since you are those filthy Zoldycks as you said. They are very stupid if they show compassion to the prey. Money? Money can't buy anything! Killing and inflicting pain to others is pleasurable and I tend to continue taking people's lives! No one can stop me!" Ryoko screeched and I cringed as the high pitch rang in my ear.

"Are you sure about that?" Tenshi-san asked with an intimidating stare. Ryoko paused and blankly stared at her. She then gave out a dramatic gasp and began laughing like a complete maniac.

"I am sure. You were always scared of me since the very first time I gave you the chance to feel such immense pain while you were a baby. That day was amazing. I finally realized the passion I held for murdering lives. As I whipped and slapped your small form as a baby, I felt the rush and excitement doing so. The cries of pain and agony ringing in my ears made me be pulled into the cruel reality where pain and suffering were the only beauty in it. I thank you for that and I tend to bring you back to enjoy that same pleasure and to remind you of those gifts. Now, if you mind..." Ryoko explained which shocked me to the core. Tenshi-san has been tortured since she was a baby. This woman is out of her mind!! She is not human! Well, she does seem like it but her heart is not human. Something is completely wrong about her and her corrupted mind. Then her last words clicked and I widen my eyes in surprise as I watch her inject a violet liquid into Tenshi-san with a needle.

Killua tried to stop her but he was flung away like a piece of trash and his body skidded a very long distance from where I was to the point that I couldn't see him.

I turn to look at the woman in pure rage and was about to use Jajanken but she disappeared with Tenshi-san before I can even utter a word. My eyes widen in shock as I stared at the place Tenshi-san was just standing at until I finally punched the floor with a loud roar.

The ground shook and a huge crater formed under my small frame. I continue punching the ground in pure rage as I remember the memories of Tenshi-san and Kite-san. First Kite-san and now Tenshi-san too?!

Why?! Why aren't I strong enough to just simply protect those who I love and care for?!

I let a final but long cry of my anger and sadness. Tears were falling endlessly as the feeling of regret, sadness, and worry filled my whole being.

I look around me and saw Tenshi-san's armor on the floor. Her cloak was also on the floor, on top of the armor. My eyes harden and I glare at it, remembering how I let my friend slip through my fingers once again.

"Gon..." I heard and turn to see the familiar silver haired boy. He gave me a stern look and I immediately knew what he meant.

We will become strong and get back Tenshi-san and Kite-san, no matter how hard it will be!

Ryoko's P.O.V.

As I run towards the old palace near Meteor City, I laugh happily with the little kitten dangling on my shoulder. I did not inject a poison in her body. Just an experiment I've been dying to try.

This will surely help me get a partner in crime! No more enjoying the pleasures of killing by myself! I will have this little fallen angel by my side and she will help me kill the toughest people out there! Oh~ Just the thought about it gets me so excited.

I lick my lips at the alluring thought. My heart began to accelerate as I ran faster. Maybe the fastest I've ever ran.

I felt something fall and I turn to see something red fall behind us since I was still running. Shrugging, I continue running towards my destination until something very obvious popped into mind.

It will take time for her to wake up...

I stop at the though and my eyes blazed with fury but a smile was kept still on my face. My eyes look over at the unconscious girl on my shoulder and I threw her body on the floor harshly, trying to wake her up.

Her body made a huge crater in the floor which made my eyes widen a bit. This is new~!

Her light body was very easy to throw and I am pretty sure I only used a bit of my strength so there should only be a small dent in the floor, not this huge crater. Her body..sure is full of surprises.

I slipped into the crater and saw the brat on the floor with no injuries at all and she was still unconscious. How irritating!!

I took out my small dagger and started to cut off her arms and legs but they grew back in a snap. I then started to stab her face until it was unrecognizable.

My smile grew wide as I get out a match and lit it. I put it on to her now messed up face hut frowned when I saw it burn out and her face healing.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?! NO MATTER WHAT I DO, THIS STUPID BRAT WILL HEAL BACK!" I shout in anger and stab her in the heart but you know what happened?! She healed..AGAIN!

She doesn't even flinch in pain. This stupid girl! I just want her to wake up so I can enjoy myself with killing every single being out there!

Though, as I continue stabbing and cutting her, my arms got tired and I decided just to go back to the old palace and wait till she wakes up.

It shall be worth it at least.
