Tenshi's P.O.V.
Silence seems to have crept up as it felt the whole world just froze when the tension devoured us at my small comment.
"Since this has gone to this, I shall take my leave now. I'll see you later Feitan and of course the other members of the Spider." My voice finally came to me as I open my mouth. Silence again took over so I turn to take my leave but I an almost immediate shout came from one of the members. I look over my shoulder to see Feitan with an outstretched hand that looks like it is reaching out for me and the rest members looking at him with shocked and curious eyes.
"I-I mean h-hold up..." His usual mumbled voice stuttered as he put his hand down and close his eyes. I completely turn my body towards the group once again, waiting for Feitan to tell me why he wants me to wait but he didn't speak another word. I sigh inwardly at the awkward atmosphere that has once again swallowed us up.
"What do you want me to wait for, Feitan? Don't tell me I need to wait another 23 minutes for a response." I stated, monotonously.
"I-I...uhhh... Shizuku said she wanted you to come along with us because she doesn't want to be the only girl and wanted to have a friend that is a girl accompany her since the rest are boys who don't understand girl thoughts or anything she would want to talk about." Feitan once again stuttered but started to babble. The girl, Shizuku as Feitan just called her, had a shocked face on.
"I have never-" She started but was cut off by a deadly glare of Feitan. His glares can seriously cut you like he is a spawn of Satan himself but that is impossible....maybe.
"But that is what you told me, Shizuku. Don't tell you lied to me, now would you?" His voice was sick type of calm and it gave the members a chill down their spines except me who was just waiting for a reason to stay longer with this annoying yet interesting group of individuals.
Shizuku stayed silent for a while and thought. Her eyes looked as if it glistened like a child spotting their present under a Christmas tree.
"I do feel lonely now that Machi has left the group and went home. It doesn't feel right when I am the only female in this group of males who have disgusting boy habits. I surely do want a girl who would talk to me about girl things so I would surely accept Tenshi-san coming along with us." Shizuku said as she was looking up at the sky and her finger on her chin like a natural person thinking and voicing their thoughts.
"There you have it." Feitan mumbled but I am pretty sure that he sounded happy and proud like he just accomplished something.
"Would you come with us, Tenshi-san?!" The small blonde asked as he was about to run up to hug me but Feitan quickly ran to him and gripped onto his shoulder. That's gotta hurt...
It seemed as if the two men had a staring contest. Time went by so slowly and I was getting bored so I decided to speak up.
"I'll have to decline the offer." All the members looked my way with fallen expressions especially Feitan.
"W-why?..." the tall and buff blonde with an almost permanent glare on his manly face. The others seem to have the same thoughts but it bothered me on why they wanted me to go. I still need to go find Gon and Killua. Who knows what trouble they can get into with Gon and his simple minded head.
"My friends are roaming around this game that can literally have people die in it. Is there really no other obvious reason to decline?" I stated with a strict voice which kind of made them flinch a little.
Feitan was the first to get out of the shock and went over to me with no expression in his eyes or face. I back up a little but Feitan was already an inch away from my face. He grabs my waist and pulls me into his arms. It was warm and comfortable and it made my heart accelerate to an abnormal speed that it worried me.
"Will you really go and leave us? Leave me? I won't tolerate this." He whispered in my ear which sent me shivers all over my entire body. I feel him smirk at the reaction he received and I felt all blood rush to my cheeks and I'm pretty sure I look like a tomato.
"Why do you need to keep putting them before you? Tenshi, if you are always there to protect them, they will never grow stronger. Believe me.....there will be a time where you won't be there for them and if this continues, in the future, since they have gotten used to you always protecting them, they won't be able to defend for themselves. Let them learn to get stronger starting now. In this game and those curious minds those boys have, they can get a strong opponent on their tail without trying." Feitan explained in a whisper. It still gave me shivers but what he is telling spiked my attention. All he said was true and it somehow hurt me. Protecting them won't help them in their future...
I should just go along with them. It wouldn't be that bad. I think.
"Fine. I'll go along with you." I said and I felt Feitan grow a small smile on his lips since he was still resting his chin on my shoulder. My heart was still beating at an extraordinary speed but it wasn't painful....it was some sort blissful.
Am I developing feelings for Feitan? It can't be...I like Kurapika. Though..... these feelings I'm feeling right now are similar to the feelings I felt with Kurapika. Why are human hearts so complicated? Why do we need to deal with such emotions? It makes life so hard on me.
