CHAPTER 23 - Plan X Intruder

Tenshi's P.O.V.

Day after day, night after night. Everything felt like it was going so slow. I felt something was going to happen in the near future but waiting was the hard part.

I walk around the now fully remembered city of York New only to find myself in a building. I had no idea how I came here but I felt I was supposed to be here so I continued walking around the building until I heard overly familiar voices.

"We will need a person to watch the Phantom Troupe's hideout." Most likely Kurapika said that. I look inside the room to see all 3 of my friends there, talking. Walking ever so quietly to not get noticed and got to a dark corner.

"I'll do it." Killua said with his hand raised. I smile at the silver headed assassin. It was almost obvious that that job was meant for him. I did not know why but it just somehow looked right if Killua had that role.

"I will need a driver," Kurapika looked at the elder next to him, "Leorio, can you handle that?"

Leorio responded with a frightful look and a scared jump though he still agreed. Poor Leorio, he is a doctor who is still in study. His job is in the medical field, not in battles like me and the other boys. Making up my mind, I made a plan to protect Leorio in this little mission if he gets into any trouble but I know I will protect all of them if they get into any sort of pinch.

"Gon, you will be the bait. The key. You will need to distract them for just a few seconds so I can capture Pakunoda. After I capture her, you can make a plan for yourself." Kurapika looked at Gon in a serious way but I see how much he cares for the boy. It made me feel proud to have such friends.

"I will have to think about it but I can do it." Gon replied with the exact seriousness in his eyes.

Listening more into the conversation, I learned Kurapika's powers and his condition meeting condition chain. I found it interesting so I kept it in my mind.

They had only 6 more hours till this plan went into action so I kept close to them. I overlooked their safety and their location but I heard something from Kurapika that made my heart snap. I did not know what the reason why it snapped though.

"Hello, Melody?" Kurapika asked into his phone. Melody? Who's Melody? What's Kurapika's relationship with this Melody? Why am I reacting this way? It's just a girl, right?

I leave the rooftop I was on that allowed me to spy on Kurapika, Leorio, and Gon and just went to the Phantom Troupe's hideout.

"What's wrong, Tenshi-sama?" Ren asked as he slithers out. His face was looking directly at mine as I stare at him.

"Who is this Melody that Kurapika was talking to?" Ren's eyes narrow as I asked this question.

"Why does this topic concern you?" That question.....I had no answer. I didn't know why. All I know is that I am having foreign emotions that I am just getting to know.

"I have no idea." I continue jumping on roofs till I sense an unfamiliar person's Nen. I look over to the direction and see old broken buildings a few miles away. Some were real buildings and some were fake and was made out of Nen. They were surrounded by a fence but it was all tattered up and there was a couple openings.

I went over there and inspected it more only to realize it's the Spider's hideout. I went to a corner and just sat down to wait for my friends' arrival.

But right when I sat down, I heard voices coming from inside one of the real buildings. Listening closely, I got more information than I needed. I laugh a little at my little accomplishment. Now I know two spider's power and one of those two spiders is the leader. And there is someone in there that I have known in the Hunter Exam.

My ears perk up when I hear footsteps of 6 people, 3 men and 3 women. I stand up and begin to follow them in eagerness to get a fight with them. They seem strong and I am itching for a fight that will last longer than at least 30 minutes.

Running from building to building without getting caught until I see them capturing Gon and Killua. My eyes narrow into a sharp glare as a women with pink hair ties them up with Nen strings.

I look over into an alley way to see Kurapika. My eyes soften when I see that he was safe.

Hmmm....

I just had an idea.

Going out of my hiding place, I was greeted by shocked faces.

"Tenshi-san?!" My two young friends asked in surprise. I nod at them softly and then look at the 6 people with dull eyes.

"Long time no see, Gon, Killua." Ren said as he comes out of his hiding place.

"Ren-san!" Gon exclaimed happily, forgetting his tight position.

"You're one of their friends?" The man with his hair combed back and is wearing a coat with St. Peter's cross on the back looked at me with such curiosity that made me feel a weird tingle on my spine.

"Danchou, I have a bad feeling about that one." The pink haired female whispered into the man's ear but I still heard. My interest perked up when she said that. Her gut feelings seem to be right.

"Why is that, Machi?" What I now know is the leader, asked the pink head.

"That one gives me a bad vibe." She muttered.

"How interesting...," He looked at me with amusing eyes, "Machi, tie that one up too."

"Danchou!!" Machi said but only received a glare from her dear boss. The girl immediately stops and walks over to me while getting her Nen string ready.

She wrapped me up and tried to pick me up but couldn't.

I guess she is too weak to carry the weight of my armor. What a weakling.

"I-I can't....." She struggled and tried different ways to pick me up but failed every try. I smile as this reminds me of Chairman Netero when he was having trouble carrying my armor.

"Take off the cloak. Maybe that person is carrying something heavy." The leader commanded.

"Don't touch Tenshi-sama!" Ren raged and went into his bigger size. The other 4 spiders went into a battling stance with their Nen ready for action.

"Ren, calm down." I spoke.

"Wha?!" Ren along with Gon and Killua exclaimed.

"Tenshi-san....y-you spoke..y-your voice is..." Gon stuttered.

"I know...I guess it's finally time for me to reveal my voice, huh?" I asked.

With a simple movement of my hand, the Nen strings break and fall to the ground. The spiders stare in amazement as their boss narrows his eyes at me. Ren becomes his smaller frame and climbs onto my shoulder.

"I will follow you but if you tie me up with those Nen strings again, I won't hesitate to escape with my friends." I stated. The boss looked at me with his dull eyes for a moment then nods.

We then continue towards wherever they are heading to in complete silence. The only sound that was heard was the pitter pat of the rain and the taps of our footsteps.

Them constantly glancing at me to see if I was getting tired or if I was too slow only to see that I was running at the exact same paste as them without a sweat nor ragged breathing.

I would roll my eyes as I noticed the glares the pink head, Machi, was sending me. It annoyed me to no end.

Calm down, Tenshi. Just focus on the goal which is protecting my friends from the spiders.
