CHAPTER 40 - Kite X and X Gon

Tenshi's P.O.V.

I stayed silent as I watched my two friends converse with a man named Kite. Gon seemed to know him and accept him so I allowed the man them talking to each other.

My eyes look over to the man named Kite and I studied his features closely.

His white hair was long and straight. His eyes was droopy yet I did not miss the same cheerfulness and curiosity of the world in his eyes. The same look that stayed in Gon's eyes. His slim body did not trick me and I knew as a fact that he was strong.

"Anyways, Gon...," Kite suddenly said then continued,"who is your friend over there? I don't think we have met or even spoken to each other. We only waved, that's all."

I turn my whole head towards the three boys as my eyebrow raised. Kite and I studied each other before a small smirk was forming on my lips. Kite also formed a small smirk which made my smirk wider. I am impressed. He saw my smirk all the way from here.

I was resting on a branch high up on a tree that was placed about a smile away from them.

"Tenshi...she's the silent type.." Killua said awkwardly, not knowing what to say. I guess he was confused on if I wanted my identity revealed or not.

I stand up and dust the dirt on my clothes before swiftly jumping off the branch and gracefully landing on the ground. There was no sound as my feet made contact to the ground. I pivot my foot onto the ground and in a blink of an eye, I was in front of them.

"I apologize for my rudeness. My name is Tenshi. Nice to meet you, Kite-san." I said and I can see Kite's eyes widen from shock as he flinched ever so slightly when he saw me appear in front of him so fast.

There was a small silence between us until I heard Gon's voice.

"Wow! Tenshi-san is so fast! I just blinked and there you were! Sugee~~!" He said with amazement and shock which made me giggle a little.

I went over to the two boys and wrapped an arm on each of their shoulders. Pulling them closer, I heard Killua slightly gasp and felt the heat radiating off the two boys. Aww~! They're embarrassed.

I head Kite clear his throat which made my attention lead back to him. He gave off a small smile but his eyes held interest.

"Nice to meet you too." He said and I just nod at him, accepting his words.

Just then, I felt something coming from somewhere. I snap my head to that direction and my eyes sharpen.

Ren looked at me and I knew he sensed it too.

There was something off in that direction but it wasn't anything dangerous...for now at least.

If I am spoken correctly, the odd aura I have sensed was in a cave and the living organism was in the middle of devouring their meal.

"Tenshi-san, what's wrong? Killua asked and I turn to the boys to see them all looking at me with concern. My facial features soften and I sat back down.

"Nothing. I thought I heard sonething, that's all. Sorry for worrying you." I said and they forgave me right away.

"It's okay, Tenshi-san!" Gon cheerfully replied which gave me a small smile. I really love this boy. He's too cute and innocent.

The boys continued talking for the whole night which didn't bother me at all. I never really sleep so it wasn't any trouble. All that worried me was the boys but they did not show any sign of being drowsy so I let it be.

Kite mentioned his friends coming along and I immediately calmed down since I have been sensing three different people coming towards us. I would've went to see who they were if it wasn't for Kite telling me the news that it was his friends and nothing to worry about.

Before Kite's friends arrived, I jumped and went onto a tree branch to observe. Gon and Killua gave a confused look and tried to search for me. Kite told them to not worry and I mentally thank him. I knew for a fact that he knew where I was since his eyes followed my figure when I jumped onto this branch.

His friends came and started to introduce themselves along with Gon and Killua. My eyes soften a little as I see no threat but my body was tensed and ready for action.

I feel like a total stalker right now. How did that bald ninja do this? It feels awkward. Maybe it's because I am stalking my friends. Stalking prey is a totally different subject. Watching Gon and Killua like this makes me feel like a pedophile like Hisoka.

I shivered at the thought and mentally cursed at that clown. My head started remembering flack backs of Hisoka and I silently hissed at every memory.

Darn clown.

"Tenshi-san? Where are you?" I heard and quickly dropped down to the floor, between Gon and Killua. They looked at me then up at the tree and repeated. I giggle a little until they wrapped their arms around me.

I swear, I feel like a mother around these two boys...

We went on and followed Kite on a journey which I felt was a bad idea. This is the start of a new dangerous adventure once again. Gon and Killua are like a magnet to danger. No matter where they go, something will come up. It's like the world is forcing them to become stronger.

I silently stayed in my seat as I stared at the boys who looked calm at the moment. My eyes soften and I look at Ren who was sleeping which made me smile a bit.

I would like to be so carefree like them. It would make life so much easier but I know that it is impossible. I am different. I know what will happen and I am always alert now that the upcoming events will get harsher by the day. Knowing what the future is like a curse but I am used to it. My whole being is a curse.

I clench my fists until I feel my blood trickle down. My eyes stare blankly at the crimson color that shined in the sunlight. I bring up my bleeding hand and lick the red substance to see that my wound was already healed.

How strange can I be? I already know I am addicted to killing yet I endure the craziness that slowly tried to eat me away. My heart, though, was still pure and urged me to stay strong and fought through it, killing only the villains while I was with Ryoko to keep my insane self at bay.

My eyes look up to see Kite staring right at me. I gave him a smirk and he just stared blankly at me. His eyes pierced me and I quickly look away to avoid his intense stare.

I then rest my eyes on the sleeping boys. How long have I been thinking? The sun is already gone too.

Well, this is up to Gon. This journey is all up to him and Killua who is his supporting friend. Kite will be there too...though not for long.
