CHAPTER 49 - Different X Tenshi

Gon's P.O.V.

My eyes widen at what just popped out of the forest. It was Tenshi-san but it wasn't her.

It was dark out but her white hair glowed in the dark and her eyes were glowing along with red tentacles whipping around d on her back. One of her eyes were black with a red iris. It glowed in the dark night and it gave me me shivers as she glanced at me for a quick moment.

The tentacles on her back was blood red and looked like they were lit up in the shadows of the forest. Her cloak was still on her but I can tell her armor was not on.

My eyes looked straight into Tenshi-san's but all I saw was monstrous eyes that was hunting down its prey. What was going on with her? Was she always like this?

No, it can't be. Tenshi-san would never did this and it doesn't make sense! Come on, Gon! Think! What could've caused this?

"Ryoko-san's injection!" I shouted in conclusion. I knew everyone was looking at me strangely but they soon took in my words and understood what I meant.

"How dare that woman!" Kurapika growled. I gave a confused look to him. How does he know? He wasn't with us when Ryoko-san did what she did to Tenshi-san.

"Ren...told us." The Phantom Troupe member, Feitan, stated. I nod and glance at him for a quick second then back at Tenshi who was still in her same place. Why was that man here? Who is he here for? Isn't Kurapika going to kill him?

We then heard something so we turn to see Tenshi-san moving forwards in a crouched position. The scene was like those from a horror film where the ghost comes crawling out of the closet or whatnot.

Before we even got the chance to gaze at her new appearance, she disappeared and reappeared in front of the many Chimera Ants and seemed to kill them one by one with either her bare hands or with those tentacles. They would whack and stab the Chimera Ants like they were rag dolls which was cool. If Tenshi-san wasn't like this and I would see those tentacles without her being like this, I would've showed my amazement and ask multiple questions about them.

"Please...D-Don't!" A Chimera Ant tried to say but Tenshi-san just bit it's head off and ate his whole body. The sight made me feel sick but I had to keep watching. This is Tenshi-san. She would never do such a thing.

I haven't even seen her eat since that day during the Hunter Exam where she was eating that boiled egg. That was the time where we found out Tenshi-san was a girl.

The scene in front of me did not waver my love or friendship for Tenshi-san but it just made me learn something new that I need to get used to this side of Tenshi-san.

I just hope that this doesn't make Tenshi-san distance herself from us because surely she'll think that she is a monster once she realizes what she has done. Watching her mercilessly devour the Chimera Ants made me feel as though Tenshi-san was just being controlled. Ryoko-san will pay for doing this to my friend.

The many ways of going to her and battling her for the antidote of this weird injection filled my mind. I do not want Tenshi-san feeling guilt and regret for the rest of her life after eating another soul.

"Tenshi...." I heard Ren mutter and I look over to him to see his eyes looking scared yet worried. We all know for a fact that Tenshi-san can now kill us and be eaten by her but I did not feel scared. I just felt remorse for Tenshi-san.

After all the Chimera Ants were gone, Tenshi stood in front of us with her hair covering her face. Nothing happened for a good 12 minutes until a tentacle moved and pierced through the dome. It slowly started to crack and soon, it was all gone. She looked at us with that one weird eye with a red iris but suddenly falls unconscious.

Feitan, Kurapika, and Ren were the first to reach her side while the others and I just watch. They were all looking worried and shock was written all over their facial features.

Tenshi-san would just stay limp in their arms and wouldn't wake up though her breathing was fine and her heart was beating. Knowing she was alive made all of us smile but what happens when she wakes up?

Will she remember what she did?

If she really does remember, I wonder if she will be angry at herself or frightened. Will she isolate herself or will she try injuring herself? I don't know what may happen if she remembers.

Will she forget what exactly she did?

It may be possible because the person who ate those Chimera Ants wasn't Tenshi-san. She may not remember a single thing and be confused about what just happened. It may be the easiest way but it's all up to Tenshi.

"I think we should get all the blood off of her." Feitan mumbled and we all agreed that Tenshi-san should not wake up with blood all over herself. That would just freak her out.

"I'll do it. Give her to me." Palm interrupted and went over to scoop Tenshi-san up. She started to walk off and my eyes stared at their backs until they disappeared.

"We shouldn't tell her anything if she doesn't remember. It's safer that way. Tenshi will definitely be overwhelmed or freaked out. If she remembers, just stay by her side and make sure she doesn't do anything she will regret." Kurapika said and we all nod in agreement and understanding.

Let's just hope for the better. But no matter what, we will always have Tenshi-san as our beloved friend.
