CHAPTER 38 - Ren X and X Spiders

Tenshi's P.O.V.

"This is not the way to Gon and Killua. Where are we heading, Tenshi-sama?" Ren asked as I changed my direction. My lips hooked on to a small smile as look at him to answer.

"To say goodbye to a few friends I have made throughout the game." Ren gave me a curious look but I shrugged it off and continued to my destination.

Once I've found what I have been looking for, I made an abrupt stop which made Ren fly off my shoulder and onto the ground. I was about to laugh but I covered my mouth just in time. Unfortunately, it made a weird sound like a snort mixed with some animal dying.

"What the heck?! Tenshi-sama!" Ren shouted once he has taken all the dirt out of his mouth from the crash landing to his face. His eyes had fire in them and his mouth was bearing his teeth as he looked at me.

"You never fail to entertain me, Tenshi-chan!" I heard a familiar voice and turn to a short raven-haired girl with round glasses. Her innocent gaze would fool the onlookers because behind that innocent facade was a merciless killer.

"Tenshi-sama! These people!!! The blonde bastard's enemies?!" Ren shouted and transformed into his full form which towered all of us greatly. I stared at his tall form and noticed something.

He's grown. He is about 50 feet taller now.

"Ren, you've grown, haven't you?" I asked, voicing out my thoughts. Ren gave me a confused look then looked at his own body.

Just a few seconds gave him enough time to realize that he did, in fact, grow to new heights. His mouth twitched and immediately got hooked onto a prideful smirk.

"I did! I really did grow!" I smile at Ren's enthusiasm but was interrupted by a certain someone clearing his throat forcefully so we can hear.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but, is this really a good way to greet us, Tenshi?" My gaze turned to look at a tall blonde. I gave him a raised eyebrow as he sent me a cocky smirk.

"Don't speak to my master like that!" Ren shouted and activated Ren which made the whole ground shake. The wind started blowing harshly to the point where if I did not wear my armor, I would've flown away by now.

"Tch! Tenshi, why don't you tell your pet to calm the hell down!" Feitan spoke up as he was having trouble staying on the ground like the others.

Kalluto was blown away so I quickly jumped and caught him. He hugged onto me while I look up at Ren. He looked back at me and immediately nodded once he understood right after giving me a confused look.

His figure started shrinking into his small form. I put my arm out to him and he quickly climbs onto me and lays on my shoulders. I let Kalluto go and he goes beside Shizuku.

"Sorry about that. Ren isn't used to strangers who talk to me so casually." I stated while looking straight at Phinks which he just replied with a frown.

"Well, we don't like anyone having any physical contact with Tenshi but do we turn into a large creature and try to eat the person? No, we don't." Shalnark murmured but was greeted by a fierce growl from Ren who heard what he said loud and clear.

"Just give me the signal, Tenshi-sama, and I will slaughter them into tiny bits." My eyes slightly twitched as I watch Ren glare at the members of the Spider which they returned.

"No need for that, Ren. I have made friends with them." Ren clicked his tongue at my response and rested his head on my shoulder but kept alarmed of any danger.

"Well, what made you go and just leave then come waltzing back here like nothing?" Phinks said with a frown. I smirk a little at his reaction.

"I had to see how Gon and Killua were doing since they are the first people to end the game. It's only logical that with the complete set of cards, other players will want to bribe, blackmail, or fight for it. And the fact that Gon will fight any bad guy no matter if they are stronger than him or not, gives me more reason to come to them as quick as possible." I stated but bragged a little at the fact that my two friends were the first people to end the game.

"That doesn't mean you have to leave us.." Shalnark pouted which made me giggle at them.

"Hai, hai. Sorry I left without telling you." I apologized and they all forgave me. Not with words but I saw in their reactions that they forgave me which made me smile at all of them.

I felt a small tug on my arm so I went to turn to see who it is but I was quickly engulfed into a tight embrace.

"Don't leave so suddenly again. I was so worried. I thought you would leave me." Feitan mumbled into my hair which made a small, gentle smile appear on my lips. His breath was so warm and tickled my neck.

But what he said finally clicked in my head. I'm sorry Feitan but I'm going to leave you. I need to follow Gon and Killua. They need me the most in the upcoming events. The person who I need to watch over the most is Gon.

Gon...

I hope I can change at least some of your future but someone will get hurt. I will make sure that the person getting injured isn't you or Killua. It's okay for me to get hurt instead of you. Just keep that smile on your face.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to worry you." I muttered once I snapped out of my thoughts. I hear Ren growl and I make a small sigh.

"Get your hands off my master." I heard him grumble. I knew he would say something like that.

Feitan glared at my scaly friend but it soon changed. His lips were hooked onto a smirk and he pulled me closer to him which made my cheeks heat up a little.

"How about," he paused but then looked at Ren in his eyes,"No."

Here we go again. Another fight. First Kurapika and now Feitan. Why does it feel like this won't be the last? How annoying...
