CHAPTER 37 - Ren X is X Back

Ren's P.O.V.

After angering Tenshi-sama, I went my own way reluctantly. Of course I would try finding her but I had a feeling that she was okay and wouldn't want to be disturbed so I let her be.

Since I had no where else to go, I found a beautiful lake with a waterfall after a very long time of walking around aimlessly. I decided to stay here until Tenshi-sama summons me so I went in the water and found out it was pretty deep. Going farther down, I look around to see many fishes and the beautiful scenery of underwater life.

When the very bottom was reached, I made a bubble of air and entered it. The inside was warm which made my whole body relax. I crawled my scaly body into a sleeping position and fell into a deep slumber till the day my master will need me.

Tenshi's P.O.V.

"I don't know." I replied after a long pause. Gon and Killua sweat dropped at my short and blunt reply that took a bit too long to say than necessary.

"I need to get the final card and we can be on our way back to the real world but we need to have all of us to be here." Gon stated. Killua nodded and the two boys looked at me.

"I will go fi-" I was interrupted by an unfamiliar voice that was high pitched so I instantly knew the source was from a female.

"Gon, Killua. You know that it's rude to not introduce me to your friend you know?" A dark aura was formed behind the two boys which made them shudder and turn pale.

Before they can escape, a pair of gloved hands bonked both their heads. The boys both went down to the floor, clutching their now injured heads that had a humongous bump at the center.

"That will teach you a lesson." I looked to see a girl with blonde hair and pink eyes. She is wearing a cute yet childish dress which made me cringe from all the bright colors. She clapped her hands suddenly which cut my train of thoughts.

"Hello, my name is Biscuit Krueger." The girl spoke. I stared into her eyes a bit and inspected her. My eyebrow raised when I noticed that her current appearance wasn't her real appearance. Her body was somehow morphed into a young body. Her true appearance was an older and...more muscular body which would've been four times bigger than my own...or maybe bigger?

"Are you okay? Tenshi?" I heard Killua ask as he waves his hands in front of my eyes. I blink then look at the eyes of the three people waiting for my response. I breath in then out.

"I'm Tenshi." They all sweat dropped once more and laughed a little. I tilt my head to the side and gave them a confused look. Why are they laughing? I did no such act to cause them to laugh.

"Are you okay, Tenshi-san? You've been taking a long time answering which is unlike you." Gon said as he stifled his laughter.

"I'm fine." I stated bluntly with a straight face.

"Okay then! We should get going! We need to get that last card so we can go back." Killua cheered and grinned at Gon which he reflected.

Then a thought came into my mind.

"How about I go find Ren while you guys go and get that card?" I asked. When they gave a nod, I quickly got out my book and used Magnetic Force to go to Ren.

I disappeared from their view and next thing you kmow, I find myself at a beautiful area with a waterfall. I look into the water and found my scaly friend at the very bottom in a bubble.

I take off my cloak and jump into the clear water. Making my way down to the bottom did not take long with the help of the strong kicks off my feet.

When I made it to the bubble that contained my small companion, I reach out my hand and it pierced into the air bubble. Right when my hand made contact with his red scales, he open his eyes and made satisfied purr as he snuggles closer to my hand.

"Tenshi-sama..." He muttered while rubbing his eyes. I gave a small smile which he returned but his smile was way bigger. I would always admire those types of smiles. How do people let out such a wide smile? Are they really that happy to let out such happy reaction?

With a small tug to his arm, he understood that I wanted to resurface. It has been hours already since I've been spaced out, just staring at Ren. The air bubble dispersed into smaller bubbles as I kicked my legs, swimming up while pulling Ren along with me.

I suck in the fresh air right when we resurface. Ren did the same as he smiles at me. I return the same smile like a mirror. I've missed Ren, my first friend I have ever made. The one who stuck by my side the longest and has supported and comforted me.

"Long time no see, Tenshi-sama!" He greeted happily. I only nod with a small smile which somehow made him smile wider.

"I've missed you, Ren." Ren's smile slowly became agape along with his eyes growing wider. He stayed like that for a moment until he cleared his throat and looked away while scratching under her chin nervously.

"R-really? Urm... I..I missed you too, Tenshi-sama." I found him stuttering rather cute and so I grabbed his small body and hugged him. He was shocked and was stiff as I embraced him which made me giggle a little.

I let go after a few minutes though, I grab one of his claws and pull him onto land since we were still in the water.

Ren was like a statue so I practically dragged his body behind me with his scaly red body dangling in the wind. Since he didn't seem to snap out of it anytime soon, I gently put him down.

I needed to dry myself off so I went into a stance and in a blink of an eye, I was off. Wind blew around me as I ran, the cold air drying my clothes and hair for me.

Once I felt that I was dry enough, I stopped at where I left Ren. He was back to normal and gave his usual bright smile when he saw me.

I put my arm down and he happily slithers up my arm and cuddles on my shoulder. The familiar and comforting feeling made me smile as I rub my cheek on his small head a little.

"Let's go back to Killua and Gon now, shall we?" Ren nodded in agreement with an excited glint in his eyes. I pick up my cloak and slipped it on my body.

With a kick to the ground to start my 'slow' sprint', I was off. I glance at my shoulder to see a hilarious scene.

Ren was holding onto my shoulder for dear life with tears coming out of his red orbs. His body was flying in the wind but his claws tried as hard as it could to grasp my shoulder. His mouth was open and his tongue was flapping in the wind a bit.

I give out a laugh and which he gives a small and almost barely seen glare since his eyes were still wide open from the wind.

"It's good to have you back, Ren."
