CHAPTER 31 - Feelings X Secrets

Feitan's P.O.V.

"Uhmm..." I look down at Tenshi who was still in my embrace. Her lips were so pink and plump but the most important part was that her lips was slightly ajar. Her cheeks glow with a crimson color which looked cute on her pale skin. And her eyes...they were looking into my eyes and I felt like I was mesmerized by them.

"Oi! Feitan, I think she wants you to let her go." Phinks cut in and I glance at him to see his annoyingly arrogant smirk. I send him a quick glare then look at the little angel in my arms.

"Is that true? Do you want me to let you go, Tenshi?" I whispered into her ear. She shivered a little which made me smirk in my little achievement.

"W-well...uhm...please do let go." She squeaked which was very cute in my opinion.

There was a sudden bubbly atmosphere behind me so I turn my head to peek at what is causing such vibe to see the other spiders smiling and emitting a flowery aura which made me shudder in disgust.

I reluctantly let go of Tenshi and the warmth I felt vanished when she separated herself from me. I frown at the loss and look over at the girl in front of me.

"What brings you here little angel?" Shalnark asked as he placed a hand on her head. I felt lightning struck behind me as I grew very angry at Shalnark for touching and acting all familiar with Tenshi.

I went up to them and grabbed his wrist and squeezed it very tightly that Shalnark yelped in pain. I look at him intently.

"Tch! Don't touch her." I muttered only to him. He nodded frantically so I let go of his now swollen and probably broken wrist. He cradles his wrist for dear life with his eyes a bit teary.

"So mean~!" He whined which I replied with a roll of my eyes.

"Feitan, calm down. And Shalnark, stop being too friendly to strangers." Phinks stated.

"Hm? But I'm a bit curious too. What brings such a pretty girl into such a dangerous game like Greed Island?" Shizuku piped in as her curiosity couldn't hold on much longer.

I turn my gaze to look at Tenshi. My eyes look into hers as she just stares at all the Spiders in front of her except me. I know her power is immense and that her appearance may waver the thought but being told straight out must be really annoying.

"I am only here to accompany my two friends. You see, one of them is searching for his father and winning this game will probably help us find him or at least give us clues on where he is." Tenshi explained with a tiny smile but when I looked closer, I can see it was forced. I scrunch my eyebrows together in confusion but I decide to ask her later when there are just the two of us instead of telling her out in front of everyone.

"My turn to ask the question. Why are you guys here?" She asked with an accusing finger and her eyes intensely staring into ours. I look away, trying to avoid the stare but most importantly to hide my blush even though my mask is probably hiding it for me. As I look away I can see how the other male spiders react to this and it entertained me yet it angered me at the same time.

Bonolenov was looking away and scratching his nape nervously. Phinks was blushing and was trying to look away but kept on glancing back at Tenshi. Shalnark was blushing but was smiling innocently towards Tenshi. Kalluto is definitely blushing but is hiding his face with his fan.

Even Shizuku was blushing and was muttering on something about how can Tenshi be so cute/beautiful. I am kinda confused on the same thing but I am just happy that I met this perfect female.

"Well....are you going to answer or what?" We all replied with a fake cough to clear our voices and probably clear the awkward atmosphere too. I look over at Tenshi and notice that her patience was slowly running thin. She must be tired of waiting for an answer...well of course she is. Who wouldn't?! I feel so dumb right now.

I nudge Phinks who was next to me and he sent me a confused but annoyed glare. I also send him a glare. I look at him then at Tenshi then back to him. His facial expression kept changing to confusion to annoyed to an expression in which he is just lost in life. It angered me until he finally got what I was getting...I think.

"Well... we are here because we want to do something to entertain us since the other spiders decided to go home after the incident with that chain bastard - I mean that blonde haired friend of yours." Phinks stuttered when he saw Tenshi's eyes harden when he called the Kurta bastard...well a bastard. My eyes narrow a bit. She must care about him a lot. It angers me to no end.

Phinks gave me a glance and I immediately understood what he was asking me.

Do we tell her we are searching for a Nen Exorcist to remove the blade in Danchou's heart?

I don't think we should tell her. She is, I guess, considered an enemy. It's just not a good idea to tell her so I gave a quick shake of the head towards Phinks. He nods as a reply and we both look over to Tenshi to see her looking straight into my eyes.

I shudder under her eyes. My heart squeezed in delight knowing that she is directing her attention towards me.

"You are hiding something from me." She muttered. My eyes widen in surprise but then turns into confusion as she sent a wide smile.

"Oh well! I will find out sooner or later."
