CHAPTER 27 - Tsezguerra X Greed Island

Tenshi's P.O.V.

"So you're gonna be alright with Gon and Killua right?" Kurapika asked the same question maybe the millionth time now. I shook my head with a small smile and looked at him who had a confused look.

"For the millionth time, Kurapika. I will be fine." He sighed with a smile and came over to me to give me a warm hug.

"I'm just making sure." I giggle at his statement.

"Yeah, you made sure a million times just to be exact." Kurapika chuckled at my joke until there was silence but it was a comfortable one.

"Please don't get into any trouble, Kurapika. I know you will continue working for that Nostrade family. May I ask why?" With that question, Kurapika let me go with a serious face.

"Just knowing that the spiders are still out there makes me furious. I won't tolerate it. If they think of slaughtering yet another innocent family or anyone that has done nothing wrong, I will personally kill them." His eyes glowed with rage and it only made me even more worried. His life will be driven with this rage towards the Spiders.

I turn away from him and walk towards where Gon and Killua are. I can feel Kurapika's curiosity radiating from behind me.

I felt his steps running towards me until I felt his hand grab mine. I turn towards him to face confused eyes.

"What did I say to anger you?" He asked. Everything. That's what I wanted to say but I kept quiet.

Time seemed as if it stopped since Kurapika and I continued to stare at each other's eyes until I finally broke it by sighing and taking his hand off mine.

He does not understand his friends will be worried if he continues what he is doing. It is putting him in danger.

"You're being very selfish, Kurapika." With those words, I disappear from his sight and reappear behind my two young friends, Gon and Killua.

"Where is she?" Killua asked out of frustration.

"She is saying her farewells to Kurapika. Of course it will take this long." Was the reply he received from Gon. I smile at them even though they cannot see me.

"Even Gon, the innocent and naive one, knows. Tenshi-sama, I have noticed that you and the blonde have been awfully close to the point I sometimes doubt that the bond with the both of us is stronger than the bond you and that blonde have with each other." I frown as I listened to my scaly companion as he has finally spoken for the first time in a long time.

"I apologize for making you feel that way, Ren. I promise to make it up to you." I whispered to him and pet his head with my finger. Ren closes his eyes in comfort as I continue stroking his scaly head.

After a while, I stop stroking his head which resulted to a frown from my underling. I gave him a reassuring smile and he nods in understanding.

I point to my two young friends who have been waiting for me. Ren looks over to where my finger was directing to and he immediately lights up when he understood what I was thinking.

Taking silent steps behind them, I bend down to their ear level and whispered a soft 'boo!'

They jumped and shivered in reply. A small yelp was heard from both males. I giggle along with Ren and they both look over to us with a relieved look.

"Oh, Tenshi-san, Ren-san. You scared us." Gon said with his usual innocent smile.

"I wasn't scared." Killua mumbled with his cheeks burning a crimson color. I pinch his cheeks softly.

"Sure you weren't scared." I teased. Killua blushed even more and made a little grumbling sound. Letting go of the younger's soft cheeks, I stand straight and look down at them.

"You boys have practiced your special move, am I correct?" The two boys became serious and looked up at me with determined eyes.

"Osu!" I smile at them which made them blush. My smile only grew bigger when I saw their reaction for they looked so awfully cute when they blush and look away from my gaze from embarrassment.

"I just hope Tsezguerra will accept all of us." Gon said. Tsezguerra was a man we have met during the auction. He and his boss, Battera, were the people who bought the last Greed Island.

Gon, wanting to get into the game in hopes of finding his father, went to ask if he can be a part of the game.

Tsezguerra disagreed and told Gon and Killua that they were not qualified to come along with him.

This only lead my two friends to train to find their special power. I, too, trained to find my many special moves I have been secretly trying to master.

This is just the day where we will finally see if all our training was worth it.

Opening the doors to the building of our awaited destination gave me sparks of excitement.

"I will continue wearing my armor and cloak along with being mute but I will still whisper a few things to you here and there and only speak when I know that we are completely alone." The boys nod reluctantly along with Ren.

I put on my armor and cloak and we continental our way into a room with other Nen users who want to participate in the game for the money Battera has put as a prize for the people who win the game.

Gon, Killua, and I walk over to some empty seats and sit down. I immediately observe my surroundings.

The people in the line are those who are confident I'm themselves or just want to get through with it. The people waiting next to the line are waiting for the others who have went to be tested on but no one seemed to have come out after they have entered. Then there were the people with me who are observing what is happening and is waiting for the right time to get up and go in to be tested on.

"Yo!" I turn to the source of voice to see a man with a purple suit with a white colar. I didn't see any sign of danger in him so I did not make a move to hurt him.

His name, as he introduced, was Puhat. He explained the obvious but Killua and Gon was surprised with the given information. It only gave me evidence that they need more experience in fighting and observing.

After conversing with Puhat, we all decided to just line up and get through with this. Killua was first, then Gon, and finally me. I found it kind of rude that they did not follow the rule of ladies first but it can be punished later.

I fidget with the hem of my cloak to keep me busy but it did not help waste time. My hands shook with excitement to finally show my abilities to someone. Every time I get closer to the door at the end, my heart beats faster but it felt so long.

Boom!

My eyes widen in surprise. I look around and notice that Gon and Killua were gone and I was finally next up.

Then that means that the big explosion was from Gon. I smile for my dear friend for he has found a strong power. I can't wait for him to master it.

"Next!" I heard from the other side of the door. My smile turned to a grin as I start to get excited and serious.

I open the door and close it behind me.

"Let's get this over with. Show me what you got." Tsezguerra ordered.
