Another night has come, to cherish

Or is it the night which I could hide my blemish?

Every day, I walk with a smile on my face,

But being happy isn't really the case.

You stand there, waving your hand with a smile

I waved back and said hello,

You are here but it feels like a mile,

For you hide the real you, stomping it into the ground below.

I flipped the coin using my hand,

Thinking whether it's head or tail

It landed on the crystal-like sand

I looked at it and couldn't help but smile

In this world, being wrong is all right

It's okay to have a scar; a blight

Even if you can't sleep at night;

I will hug you 'til dawn with my might.

Do you feel alone, dear?

Do you not want to face your fear?

But it will make you stronger than yesterday,

Yes, you will get stronger day by day

This night, you are having a dream

You could even hear the humming of the nightingale

You gazed at its feathers which is cream

You're feeling like you are in a fairy tale

As I hear you sleeping soundly,

I couldn't help but stare at your face

I smiled and walked away slowly

But my smile faded for your dream will go to waste

I gripped the doorknob tight

I could hear your sudden sob

My heart began to throb

Dear, have you forgotten the light?

You are running; you are being chased
