They are both lying next to each other, gazing at the starry night sky with such awe. She was silent, smiling to herself because she feels like she's dreaming. She's so close to him. If this is really a dream, she doesn't want to wake up anymore. He noticed her silence so he shifted his gaze to her. She is still looking at the stars while he stares at her. He saw the glint on her eyes and her mesmerizing smile. And he couldn't help but love her more.
"The stars are so comforting," she said, breaking the silence between the both of them. "I wouldn't get tired of looking at those sparkling little lights scattered up there."He grinned, still looking at her. "Yeah, you could say that. But I prefer the star which could shine the brightest. And I'm looking at it now."
"Where?" she asked enthusiastically, trying to spot the brightest star above them.
He chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. "It's not 'where', silly. Actually, the star I'm referring to is you."
She looked at him, eyes filled with shock. "Me? A star? What's with that?" she giggled.
"You said that stars are comforting. When I'm with you, I feel at ease. Honestly I don't need billions of them. You are more than enough for me," he said as he lean closer and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
She fell silent. She couldn't stop smiling. "Am I dreaming?" she asked to herself. But the moment she felt the cold breeze of the night, giving her the chills down to her spine, she realized that this is her reality.
"You can be my one and only star," he whispered to her ear.
