Point Of View

Tapos na yung out of town trip namen and we’re now preparing to go home. Masaya ang lahat, the trip was perfect. It would now forever be one of my most cherished memories as it’s a time spent with friends and family. Ang sarap talaga ng feeling kapag kasama mo ang loved ones mo, they’re the most valuable thing in this world for me.
We’re currently loading our things na sa van, nakita kong lumabas si Julian galing sa Villa carrying some things.
“Julian!” I called him up
“Ohh bakit?” he asked
“Wala, gusto ko lang mag-thank you”
“Para saan?”
“Para sa lahat, for suggesting me to go with the flow and reminding me how important this trip is kaya hindi ko dapat i-let yung silly things ruin it for me and also for the other thing…
I always thought you were a jerk, I guess you’re not so bad after all and having you around has been fun…
Nag-enjoy ako, lalo na yung family ko kaya Thank you… Thank you Julian”
“Sabi ko naman sa iyo diba, you shouldn’t let silly things like that ruin everything…
Tsaka isa pa, tingnan mo huh…
Nag-prepretend ka pa lang na boyfriend mo ko nag-eenjoy ka na, eh what more pa kapag tayo na”
Hinampas ko nga sya ng malakas.
“Ang yabang mo talaga! Binabawi ko na pala yung ‘Thank you’ ko!”
Nagka-tinginan lang uli kame and smiled at eachother after that. Strangely enough I started to be comfortable with his presence. Unti-unti ay nasanay na rin ako, dahil na rin sa ginawa nya yung pakiusap ko sa kanya to act like the way we used to. Para kameng aso’t pusa most of the time but oddly enough I enjoy it better that way. I don’t know kung okay lang din ba sa kanya yun pero wala syang magagawa dahil dun ako mas comfortable at hindi sa mga cheezy lines, pambobola o pakitang taong bait-baitan. I want him to act natural around me and just face me as himself, so that way I could also face him naturally as I do with my family and friends.
But still I’m not so sure with myself…
