Just as the slimy man started kissing my neck, all of a sudden he stopped. I couldn't feel his weight on me but I'm still too scared to open my eyes so I kept them shut. All I hear is the shuffling of feet and the sounds of punches and a couple of groans.
Suddenly I felt a pair of hands gently touching my shoulders.
"STOP! D...Don't hurt me… please." I whimpered.
"Hey, hey. It's okay. It’s me." The voice of someone softly replied back. A very familiar voice. I slowly opened my eyes and in front of me is a familiar pair of brown eyes with thick eyebrows. Without any hesitation, I hug him tight. He was thrown back until he was in a sitting position due to my sudden hug. I don't know why I hugged him so tight. Maybe it's because I am so relieved I was safe by someone. I felt his hand softly rubbing my back to calm me down. I didn't even realised I was crying so much until I felt his t-shirt becoming wet. But I couldn't care less about it as I continued to hug him.
About 10 to 15 minutes later, my eyes dried up and I was much calmer. I released my strong gripped on him and sat cross-legged in front of him.
"Sorry about that." I apologised while wiping my snot. Ew.
"It's okay. I understand." His eyes scan my whole body, probably checking if I was hurt physically. "You're okay?" He asked, in which I just nodded slowly, my eyes fix on the ground. I couldn't face him because I was too embarrassed. One of his hands grabbed my chin and tilts my head upwards, facing him. With his other hand, he gently wiped the wet trails on my cheeks. From that moment, I really felt that he care for me. I don't know in what way, I really like his concern towards me. My heart flutters and a warm feeling seeps in. The way his eyes zone into my eyes, it's like he's trying to read me.
"You're sure?" It took me a while to understand what he was asking.
"Yeah, I'm okay." I assured him and I look down again to hide my. A gush of wind blew and I shivered involuntarily because of the coldness. The image of my bed makes me want to go home more. "Um, Alex I need to go home." He quickly got up and dusts off his pants before reaching out his hand to help me get up. As soon as I got to my feet, a shot of pain hit my knee.
"Ouch!" On instinct, I quickly bend down again and grab my injured knee.
"What's wrong?" Alex asked as he crouched down to my level.
"My knee’s injured because I fell while trying to run away." His hand gently touched my knee and another pain shot through it, making me slap his hand away.
"Sorry." He apologised. We were silent for a few minutes with me groaning in pain."Okay, I got a plan. Can you get up slowly?" I nodded and followed his instructions. He had one of his arms around my shoulders and another circling behind my knees. Before I can register anything, he scooted me up and started walking while carrying me like a bride. My hands automatically circled around his neck.
"Am I heavy?" I asked, timidly.
"Not at all. Light as a feather." He said and shot me his famous lopsided smile, making my heart beats faster.
We, or he, continue to walk towards my house in silence. I kept looking at him, taking in every inch of his face. Then his eyes dropped to face mine and I just want to look away but strangely, I couldn't. He locked his eyes at me and I got a little sucked into his chocolate eyes. We kept staring at each other, not noticing our surroundings. His face started to become closer to mine until our noses touch each other. His eyes flickered to my lips a few times. Soon he inches slowly more towards me, giving me plenty of time to push him away but I didn't because I want this to happen.
Seconds ticked away and as soon as our lips could touch...
"LUCKY!" Our faces quickly pulled away from each other in a flash. Zayn was in my view the minute I turn around. His face scrunched up and his eyebrows pulled together. His face in a stressful mode. All in all, he looks worried. "What happened to you?! I was so worried. I was trying to call you but I couldn't get in contact with you so I go check up to your house and saw that none of the lights were switched on so I knew you weren't home. I waited for you for hours and I kept calling you but you didn't pick up. What happened? What's wrong with your leg? Wha-"
I quickly shut his mouth with the palm of my hand to shut him up. He shooting me questions is giving me a headache.
"Zayn, I'm okay." I assured him. He pulled his eyebrows closer to each other and pulled my hand away from his mouth. His eyes scanning my position.
"So why is Alex carrying you?" I turn towards Alex and blushed. I actually forgot about that. Alex gently put me down but he still supports me by having one of his arms around my shoulder. "What's wrong with your leg?!" Zayn immediately squat down to examine my leg. A minute later, he stood up and glare at Alex. "What the heck did you do with her?!" My eyes shot wide open realising that he thought Alex did something to me.
"It wasn't me." Alex opens up before I could say anything.
"Heck yeah, you did something!" By now, Zayn took a dangerous step closer to Alex, making me sandwiched between the two. Before this could turn into a fight, I push both guys away from me gently but still hanging on to Alex.
"Zayn, Alex didn't do anything wrong." I assured him again. He was still glaring at Alex so I placed both my hands at the side of his head and move it to face me as I look him dead in the eyes. "He helped me as a matter of fact." A flashed of confusion flickered in his eyes.
"Helped you? What happened?" The sound of concern lacing in the tone of his voice.
"I tell you later." I turn towards Alex. "Thank you so much Alex. I do not know what will happen to me if you hadn't come along." He sheepishly gave me a smile.
"Nah, it was nothing. Any normal person would do that." He scratched the back of his neck. A nervous tick I come to observe.
"I still appreciate it."I said and gave him a bear hug that lasted for a few seconds longers. During our hug, I can feel both of our hearts beating together and that widens my grin. We pulled apart and we said our goodbyes. Zayn started to carry me even thought I protest not to.
By the time I open my front door, it was dark. This means that my parents are sleeping, so we crept up to my room. The minute he puts me down on my bed, he opens his mouth, "Okay, spill." I rolled my eyes and started to tell him what happened. Through the whole story-telling, his facial expression changes from angry to sad and back to angry. But he didn't utter a word.
"So after all that, you saw Alex carrying little injured me." We were silence for a while. Both of us have nothing else to say. All of a sudden, I was crushed into a tight hug that I almost couldn't breathe.
"Oh, Lucky. I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you..." My heart melted a little by what he said. I quickly return his hug and rub his back gently.
""It's okay, Zayn. It wasn't your fault. It's never your fault. These things you will never know when or will happened. Don't beat yourself for it." I consoled him.
"I know...But if I was there with you, nothing will happen. I could have saved you." We pulled apart and his face filled with guilt.
"Zayn, what matters know is that I'm saved now, okay?" He shook his head.
"But I'm supposed to be the one who save you, not him. I'm your best friend, remember? I'm the one who suppose to do the saving." I smiled at what he just said.
"Okay, Zayn. Next time when I'm in need of help, I will know who to call."
"And you remember that because I’m the only one can be your Superman. Come on, let me clean your injured ankle."

Sorry for the looooong wait again.I couldn't find the time to actually sit down and type my story.And I had a little writer's block so I'm not really happy with this chapter.
But nevertheless,I will try to make the chapters more interesting so SUGGESTIONS ARE ALL ACCEPTED!!!I will love for my readers to help out...
