The soft stroking on the top of my head flutters me out of my sleep but I kept my eyes shut.
"I can see that glow on your face." I almost open my eyelids in surprise as I heard Jack's voice cutting in the silence. Alex exhaled loudly.
"Yeah." He agrees, a dreamy tone in his voice. "I really like her."
"Aww," Jack, well, awwed. "I'm really happy for you, man. I haven't see that wide smile on you since Lisa broke up with you."
"Yeah, I haven't been this happy for a long time. Which means, I'm not letting thiis girl go anytime soon." I felt warm arms wrapped around me and hugged me tight, giving me a warm feeling in me. I guess it's time for me to 'wake' up. I started making small movements and let out a yawn, before stretching my arms out. I fluttered open my eyes and my vision landed on a certain lanky skunk-hair guy lying sprawled out on the one-sitter sofa, his long legs hanging on the armrest. I looked up and smiled up at Alex's face. "Hello, you."
"Hello." I looked around and glanced at the clock on the wall. 8pm. I lazily got up. "I better go home."
"Nooo..." He immediately captured my waist and leans on it. "Don't leave." I lean my head on top of his, sleep still in my system. Jack cleared his throat.
"Hey guys, I know you guys are together and I'm happy for you guys and all that but I'm not in any particular stoked to see you getting all mushy just yet." He cringed. Alex and I burst out laughing.
"Hey, you and my best friend acts the same puppy dog love but you don't see us complaining about it." I pointed out. He blushed and look straight to the TV screen. I played with Alex's hair.
"I really got to go." I escaped from his grip as I stood up.
"I'll send you." He got up and grabbed the car keys. I brushed through my hair and straighten out my shirt. I looked around for my glasses until I saw it was perked on Jack's nose.
"Hey skunk face, give me my glasses back."
"I have a name, you know." He took out the glasses and passed it to me.
"And yet, you still turn around when I called you 'Skunk face'." I hooked my fingers through Alex's and wiggled my free hand to Jack as we headed out towards Alex's car.
We had a nice comfortable silent car ride towards my house.
Lights were switched on from inside my house as we stopped in front of it. "Thanks for the ride." I said while unbluckling the seat belt.
"It's no problem, babe." I smiled hearing that nickname escaped his lips. I shifted in my seat and bring myself closer to his face. He leaned forward and we shared a small kiss. A small kiss but enough to make the heat goes up to my face. I bet I had a goofy face as I leaned back. He suddenly went out and walked around the car. I sat there, confused. He opened my car door and gestured me out like a gentlemen. "You have arrived, m'lady." He spoke in a bad British accent., making me giggle. He walked me up to my front porch.
"Thanks Alex." I gave him a peck on his cheek, my lips brushing the stubble at the side of his face. I unlocked my front door and gave him a final wave before closing it. I literally sprinted up to my room after saying hi to my parents. I fished out my phone and speed dial Jenny's number. "You have so much to learn my dear friend." I immediately said after she picked up her phone.
"I'm at yours in an hour. Tell your parents I'm staying over." She instantly hung up.

"I'm so happy you are with Alex!" She gushed loudly. My eyes landed on her being sprawled out on my bed, scrolling through her phone. "You and me can go double date!" She sat up as she popped up the idea. "Oh god! That's such a great idea!" Her eyes widened in size as she became excited.
