Y/N's POV
"Ouch!" I giggle as Evan reaches out and grabs my hair. Shawn comes into the room just as Evan shoves his mashed carrots onto the ground.
"What was that for?" Shawn's voice carries a tone of annoyance, as Evan giggles.
"What's wrong, babe?" I ask as he bends down to pick up the container.
"Nothing, I'm fine." He sighs, setting the plastic container on the high chair.
"Shawn, I can tell when you're upset."I tell him grabbing a roll of paper towels.
"Nothing, I'm fine. I love you, but please leave me alone." He runs his fingers through his brown hair.
"Oh, ok." I reply. Evan giggles as I struggle to clean up his mess.

"All right, that's it." Shawn grumbles, as Evan starts to cry.
"Shawn, a baby can't help it when they spit up on people. You need to get used to that." I say, seriously. He passes me the crying baby and grabs the roll of paper towels off the counter.
"Why? I'm never coming babysitting with you again anyways." He starts to raise his voice as I put Evan in his high chair.
"You're going to be a daddy, Shawn! You need to get used to this!" I match the volume of his voice as he freezes.
"What?"
"I'm pregnant." I yell. Tears well up in my eyes. This isn't how I planned to tell him he was going to be a dad. His mouth drops open.
"Are you kidding me?" He screams back, and I cringe.
"No, why do you think I'm kidding?" I reply softening my voice. He rubs his eyes.
"Because I never wanted a kid." He groans. The tears start to pour down my cheeks as he grabs his jacket off the back of one of the chairs and leaves me standing there alone with Evan.
Shawn's POV:
18 months later:I wipe my tears away from my cheeks and throw my phone, as I begin to cry harder. The phone hits the wall, and lands screen side up, showing the picture of Y/N and the little baby girl in her arms.
"Shawn?" Selena rolls over in bed, and sits up, the sheets falling off her bare chest. Once she realizes I'm crying, she wraps her arms around my torso, pressing her chest against my back.
"Y/N..." I choke out as she lightly kisses and sucks on my neck to calm me down.
"Shawn, you've said multiple times you hate her." There is a hint of jealousy in her tone as I wipe my tears away.
"No, I hate what I have done to her and my daughter." I sniff, my tears finally drying up.
"What is this? This is a whole new thing. A whole new Shawn."
"I want to go back."
"You want to do what?"
"I want her back. You've been amazing and all-" I motion to her as she scoots back, offended.
"So you've been using me for sex, is that what this is?" Selena shoves the sheets back and climbs out of the bed, walking into the bathroom.
"No, Selena, that's not- It's not like that." I say, climbing out of bed to follow her, but she meets me in the doorway.
"No, that's it. I'm done, Shawn. We're done." She says. She's already dressed in sloppy clothes, and has her keys in hand. I don't stop her as she pretty much runs out of the house.
***
I ring the door bell on her little house and hear a baby crying inside. Nerves make a pit in my stomach as I hear the deadbolt unlock.
She opens the door and freezes, the little girl in her arms crying.
"Shawn." She gasps, her free hand flying to her mouth.
"Look, Y/N, I am so sorry, and I'm sorry that I've missed out on the first nine months of Harper's life. I miss you, I'm so sorry." I pretty much beg for her forgiveness, tears welling up in my eyes. She flings her arms around me in a hug, sobbing into the crook of my neck.
"I love you, Shawn." She cries. I kiss her head.
"I love you too, princess, and I promise to never leave you or our baby again."
