90: Attic (Request)

This request is for MonikaMendes and I just want to thank her because she requested this in April, and I missed her comment until the other night. I won't do any more requests for a while unless I missed yours.

Monika's POV:

"Shawn, come help please." I call, placing my hands on my hips. Looking around the attic at all of the boxes we had to move out kind of stresses me out. I had thought the downstairs would be the problem.

I can hear him coming up the attic stairs before his large hand slide around my stomach, and his chin rests on my right shoulder.

"I had no idea we had all of this stuff up here." He chuckles. I turn my head and place a quick kiss on his cheek.

"Alright well, we have to get started. We've a moving truck coming in two days to start us moving out."

"You know Monika, I kinda like this house. Why don't we just stay here?" He releases me gently.

"Because our family is going to be too big for this house in seven months." I begin to move around the junk all over the floors.

"I know, but maybe the baby can just sleep with Kaitlyn or Jacob." He suggests. I pick up a box and set it on the floor, sitting down to look through it.

"I'm not making the baby sleep with either of the twins." I clear my throat, then open the box. "Oh, Shawn, come here." I place my hand over my mouth in surprise.

He comes over to where I am sitting, and gently sits across from me, moving the closest flap to him.

"Oh, the memories." He smiles. He picks up one of the things on the top, an orange bandana. Right below that is a read beanie with the MagCon tour symbol on the front.

"That is so cute." I grin, picking up the beanie. He blushes and takes it from me, sliding it over his messy hair. "Is this from when I gave you my number for the first time?" I gasp, as I look back down into the box

Blush fills his cheeks and rushes into his neck. He nods shyly as I pick up the napkin with my old phone number scrawled across it.

"Yeah, I had to keep that." He chews on his bottom lip. I continue to dig through the box, coming across some old guitar picks and merch bracelets from the MagCon tour.

"You kept all of this stuff. I never knew you were so sentimental." I smile at the memories of everything.

"You never know what you'll find in the attic." He sets the box by the stairs. "Hey guys, why don't you come upstairs?" He beckons. Seconds later, the twins are upstairs next to us, messing with the little trinkets around the dusty room.

"Alright, guys. We're gonna clean this out so that we can move. Can you guys help?" I ask, watching them play with the toys in their hands.

"Why are we moving mommy?" Jacob stares up at me with his daddy's eyes. Jacob got Shawn's eyes and my hair while Kaitlyn is the exact opposite.

"Because mommy has a baby in her belly, and we want you, Kaitlyn, and the new baby to each have a room. Our family is to big for this house now." Shawn explains in a soothing voice.

"Well can't the baby just sleep in the attic?" Kaitlyn suggests.

"No, sweetheart. But that's a good idea, maybe I can make your daddy just sleep up here." I tease. Shawn comes over with a chuckle and picks me up bridal style, then throws me over his shoulder, careful to avoid hitting the baby.

"You take that back." He jokes. I squeal with laughter as the kids surround the two of his, hitting Shawn playfully on the legs.

"Let mommy down." They laugh. Shawn sets me down gently then goes to chase the twins, chasing them back downstairs.

I guess this attic's just going to have to wait.

This is also my first update for the week (I'll be doing my usual update on Wednesday) because I won't be able to do an update next week. CAUSE I'LL BE ON A CRUISE AHHHHHH!!! Anyways, I love you guys, and be ready for me to set a goal for reads next imagine!
