I sat on the plane and then pulled out my laptop to edit a gaming video I recorded previously. As my laptop was starting up I pulled out my phone and started vlogging again; saying how I was on the plane waiting to take off. The fasten seatbelt light came on and I put my phone on airplane mode and then I put my seatbelt on. I flicked my hair in my face out of the way, put my earbuds in to play my music as I edited the video.
The plane ride was smooth. I got my editing done and put my laptop away. I'd have to wait till I was back on the ground and in my new place to upload it. I started to close my eyes and fall asleep. The flight was still 4 hours long. I slept most of the way. I woke up with an hour left of the flight. I pulled up saved videos of Mark and watched them. I couldn't believe I was going to be living in the same city as my idol, my hero, my crush. Just thinking about it gave me butterflies in my stomach. We finally landed in LA airport. It was so warm. I pulled off my hoodie and tied it around my waist. I pulled out my phone to vlog a bit more but didn't wanna stay outside too long since it was so hot. My body wasn't used to the heat. Back in New York we only got warm weather for about 3 months and then it was cold. My mom wasn't used to the heat either. "Wow, it's hot!" She exclaimed fanning herself. "Yeah, I know, I hope it gets colder at night." I said, fanning myself as well.
We got our bags and walked outside.
We rented a car to go to my new place. My new house was a fairly good size. Not too big, not too small. It was close to town. So I could walk until I saved up enough money for my own transportation. When we pulled up, the movers van was already there. "Well that was quick." I said to myself.
The keys were in the mailbox and I went to unlock the door. I turned the lock, heard the click and I opened the big heavy front door. As you opened the door there was a small entry way. The walls were a light cream colored and there was high ceilings. The living room was on the left as you walked in and the dining room was on the right. The stairs were off to the right as you walked in. As you walked straight there was a kitchen that was connected to a family room on the left that also connected to the living room. There was also a small bathroom in the little hallway on the left as you made your way from the front door to the kitchen. A lot of natural light with all the big windows. Off of the kitchen was a deck and a view of the ocean in the background.Once we got a few boxes in, I pulled out my phone to vlog more; explaining what we were doing and showed my new place off.
We unpacked and got the kitchen stuff put away first since there was so many things that were breakable. My parents were gonna take me out to buy some things like a coffee maker and stuff like that. The house came with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. My dad got me a table, chairs to put in the dining room.
Once we got the living room, family room, and dining room taken care of; it was time for the upstairs. I walked up before we got any boxes in there and I vlogged, showing the place off.
I went into my new bedroom. I saw that I had a balcony. I went out to vlog the view. "You guys see this? I get to wake up to this every morning." I smiled and then stopped recording.
I walked around upstairs. There was a bathroom off of the master bedroom (my bedroom) along with the balcony. There was a second bathroom. There was 2 other bedrooms and a spare room. "That's my recording room." I said to myself. It was a decent sized room. Wood floors, a big window on the far wall, and a slanted ceiling. I smiled as I imagined all my recording things being set up. This was the room I was most excited for. It would be the new place where I would be able to make people's days. It's the new home of happiness.I finished unpacking as soon as it got dark out. I had just gotten the finishing touches done and stood back to admire the work. My parents and I figured it'd be best to go out tomorrow morning to get anything else I may need. For now, we were all exhausted and sleep was calling our names. My parents took the couches downstairs while I was upstairs in my new bedroom.
I got my pajamas on and got myself ready for bed. As I got settled in my big bed, I couldn't help but start to smile. I was living in LA. It kept circling my mind. I was living in LA. I went to sleep with a smile on my face.
