We drove back to my house and I asked if he wanted to come inside. He looked at the time, it was only 10:30. "Sure, why not." We both got out and entered my house.
As I shut the door, he sat on the couch in the living room. "So listen," I said. He looked up. "What's up buttercup?" He chuckled.
"I just wanted to say something."
He sat up a bit. "Yeah?"
I took a deep breath and looked at him. "Do I tell him that I like him? More like I'm in love with him?"
"No you fucking moron. He hears that shit all the time. What would make your telling him 'so special'? God, sometimes I wonder what the hell goes on in here."
Mark looked at me, concerned yet waiting for me to say something.
"I am really happy I got a chance to meet you." I finally said. "I have been watching your videos for a long time and they have definitely helped me smile on my darkest of days. I know you hear that like everyday of your life; but when I was on the verge of tears, I just pulled up on of your videos and it made me forget anything that happened that day." He smiled and got up. "I'd laugh hysterically and cry tears of happiness from all the laughter. You definitely are one of my heroes and I don't know where I'd be without me discovering you. You're one of the reasons I started YouTube. You made me want to make people smile, you made me want to make people feel better. I felt like I needed to be one of those-". He cut me off by wrapping his arms around me in a big bear hug. Engulfing me in the warmth of his body and I hugged him back. I tried to calm my heart pounding. "He's hugging me! He's actually hugging me!" I thought to myself.
He finally let me go and looked into my eyes. I smiled at him and he smiled back, not with his mouth but with his eyes.
"I should probably get going. It's getting pretty late."
I looked at what time it was. 11:00 pm! Holy shit!
"Yeah, it's late." I said. "Here, lemme get you the door." I went to the front door and opened it for him. He looked at me and smiled. "I'll see you lat-...you know, I never got your name."
I looked at him. "It's Jessica. But, my friends call me Jess."
"Jessica...Jessica...alright. I'll see you later...Jessica."
I giggled and he smiled then walked out to his car.
"Bye, Mark."
"Bye, Jess."
I waved until he got in his car and drove off. I closed the door and then pressed my back against the door and put my hand over my chest.
I went to bed with a goofy smile on my face.
