After meticulous planning, the day has finally come. Our wedding day. I was sitting in my room, all the way across from where he was getting himself all dressed up, getting myself ready. My hair was almost finished getting curled and my make up was just about done. I just kept looking at myself in the mirror. How did this happen? One day he and I are just meeting and the next I'm sitting in my room getting ready to marry him. This was insane!
I looked down and smiled, I had gained the healthy weight all back and was now eating like I should. My dress fit me every right way. It hugged my hips and accentuated my curves in my torso. I was more than proud of myself. Almost a year of refusing to eat and now I loved the way I looked. The women finished my hair and I looked at myself in the mirror. "Stunning." I thought to myself. "Actually, I th-" "No!" I said out loud. Everyone looked at me and I smiled. "It's the voices. Don't worry, I got it." They all nodded and went back to their tasks. I went back and stared at myself in the mirror. "You are not ruining this. I am a strong and positive person. I will be happy." I kept repeating that to myself and eventually, the voices shut up. I sighed and smiled. My mom came over and put her hand on my shoulder. "Ready to finish the look off with that dress?" She asked. I looked at her and smiled. "Definitely."-Mark's POV-
I adjusted my tie in the mirror. I was fully dressed in my tuxedo and I looked myself up and down. "Not too bad, Mark. Not too bad." I turned around to see everyone getting the finishing touches to their suits. In just a few minutes, I'd be waiting at the end of the aisle for her.
Ryan came over and patted my shoulder. "You ready to do this?" He asked. I turned my head and nodded. "Let's do this." I said to him.-Jessica's POV-
Each pair was called and made their way down the aisle. "And now, will you all stand?" I heard a voice say. My dad came to my side and linked my arm through his. "You look absolutely stunning." He said, trying not to cry. "Daddy...don't cry!" I said. I started to fan my face. "I'm gonna cry if you do!" I sniffed.
I emerged into the sunlight and instantly grinned at all the faces smiling back at me. Then I looked up at the end of the aisle and my heart leaped in my chest. There he stood, the love of my life. I glanced around at the sea of faces; my friends, my family along with his friends and family.I had made my way up next to him and my dad kissed my cheek, then gave me away; going to sit down next to my mom. Everyone sat down as we pivoted to face the pastor. About half way through the pastor's speech, I felt his hand in mine. I looked down and then at him, he only smiled and motioned with his head to look back at the pastor. I smirked at him and looked back.
The pastor had us repeat after him and when it was time for the "I do"'s, my heart started beating. This was really it.
"Jessica, do you take this man to be your husband?"
"I do."
"And do you Mark take this woman to be your wife?"
"I do."
"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you; Husband and Wife."
My heart was grinning.
The pastor turned his head to look at Mark.
"You may kiss the bride."
That's when he pulled me in close and right before our lips made contact, he whispered in my face "With pleasure..."
