It was him. It was really him. My eyes widened and I fell to my knees. I just froze. My heart pounding with my mind going a million directions an hour I couldn't even think straight.
I finally got enough courage to read the message. My shaky hands and twitching fingers slid the button to unlock my phone.
I opened the message. "Don't worry about it," the message started. "Great, he's probably used to the pointless rambling from every fan." I thought to myself.
I kept reading. "The tips are pretty straight forward. Don't be too scared and be prepared for anything at anytime. How you liking LA so far?"
My heart was now pounding out of my chest. The room started to spin. Was this legit? Was this really happening? I felt like I was about to wake up from a dream. I closed my eyes and pinched myself. "Ow!" I said and opened my eyes quick. I stared back down at my phone. Yup, the message was still there. I rubbed my arm where I had pinched and then started typing back.
"LA is cool so far. I am definitely not used to the heat. I doubt this whole 'dream like reality' will last forever though."
Send.
Almost immediately he responded back.
I read, "Haha! This isn't even hot yet! And well, if that dream like reality ends sooner than expected, I'd be happy to help to make it good again :)."
Now I knew it wasn't real. This was a joke.
I typed back, "Okay, I gotta ask. Am I speaking to Mark Fischbach? The actual Markiplier himself? Or is this a joke?"
*buzz-buzz*
"This is the one and only."
I typed "Prove it."
*buzz-buzz*
He sent me a selfie. Those brown eyes just pierced through me. A little smile on his face. My heart melted.
He messaged me back.
"That enough proof for you? Or do I need to keep sending you more?"
About 5 minutes later I got a ridiculous amount of selfies.
I was laughing more and more at each one. My heart was smiling so hard.
I finally typed back;
"Okay! Okay! Lol, I got it!"
He responded with, "Haha! Hey, not the first time I've had to prove that I'm the real thing."
We kept conversing back and forth with one another.
I lost track of the time, when I looked at what time it was; it was 7:45 pm.
I sent him a message "Hey, it's getting late and I still haven't eaten yet. I don't even know what to make."
"You wanna meet up? I know a really good place to eat."
No way. Did that just happen?
"Ummm...sure...I just don't have any transportation or anything."
"Don't worry about it, I'll come get you."
This wasn't for real.
"Where do you live?" He asked.
After I told him my address, he told me he'd be there in an hour.
"Okay, see you then." I turned my phone off, put it away to charge and I just started to freak out.
"Oh. My. God. He's coming. HERE. Oh. My. God."
My mind was racing, "what am I gonna wear? What am I gonna do with this mop on my head. Holy shit I still need to make myself presentable!"
Frantically trying to get myself together, I ran to my bedroom to change. Threw on some ripped jeans and threw on a tshirt. I did my make up quickly then I put on my high top sneakers and then sat by the door and waited. For what seemed like an eternity.
