Luke's POV

"Please.. Please let me go.."

I couldn't hold myself. She was hurting. I couldn't be mean enough to let her stay like this. It was hurting me too. I loosened my grip but as soon as I did that, my brain told me to get her back and hold her.

"Please stay like this for a while.."

"Luke.."

I didn't say anything and she stopped trying to go. We remained in silence until she pulled away from my hug. "Goodbye, Luke."

"..."

She closed the door. "I never want you to go, Lily."

I woke up feeling so much shit. My eyes felt so heavy and I just felt so tired. I could just go back to sleep actually, but I couldn't let Helen do what she needed to do alone.

I got out of the bed and headed to the kitchen to catch a glass of water. Even my throat felt so dry now.

"Luke?"

I saw Helen walking towards me with a teddy bear in her hands. She named it "Jojo". I had no idea where the name came from.

"Hey, Helen." I could see the worried look on her face. As if she just had a nightmare. As if she was scared of something.

"I had a bad dream." Oh right.

"Really, sweetie? Come here.." I held her right hand in mine and took her to the couch in the living room. "Now tell me what it was about."

"Um.. I don't know how or why but I had this dream where I was walking to Lily's house to play..." I felt a strange feeling when she mentioned her name.

"... in that dream."

"Uh, sorry.. Come again?"

She looked at me in the eyes and said, "I killed her in that dream."

I widened my eyes and was so shocked. I meant.. I knew it was just a dream but how could a nine year old girl like her have a dream like that?

"It was nothing.. don't worry about it okay, sweetheart? Maybe you were having a bad day or something yesterday."

"Yeah.. I think so. But Luke.. Can you take me to Lily's house today? I want to meet her."

Oh no. She can't meet her. If she ever knew I and Lily couldn't meet anymore then I wouldn't know how to react. And what to say. And what to do.

"Um.. Helen. L-Lily has been so busy lately. So I don't think she wants to meet people. I'll just take you there another time, okay?"

"Promise?"

"Uh.." I didn't know if I should promise but I nodded somehow.

Good, Luke. Now you really know what to do.

I felt my phone buzz on the table. There was a message. From the jerk Aaron.

To : Luke
From : Aaron

How is it, Luke?

To : Aaron
From : Luke

I've made up my mind. Everything is going just how you want.
