13 - Prophecy

The next day the rooms are finished. Light’s room is decorated with pink and light blue and Shadow’s room has a lot of dark blue and purple. Both kids had picked the colors they liked best.

Now I am down stairs making breakfast while James is with Daniel. The kids are playing in the living room.

I hear an odd noise as I finish making plates so I go to the living room. Shadow is sitting on the floor staring at a wall and Light is staring at the floor.

I kneel down and look at Shadow first. His eyes are black and he starts to whisper. “The Vampire of Death will reveal itself before that of the eclipse. It will devour many before taking the one of gold. A Queen will fall to give rise to that of the Death Vampire.”

I look at Shadow confused but before I could do anything Light begins to whisper. I look at her and her eyes are white. “Vampire Death will fall by night. It gives way to peace and balance. One will be born of ashes to take the place in need of leadership. All will be restored by those of power.”

My mouth drops open as each word is imprinted into my mind. A second later, Light jumps up and hugs me. And Shadow is shaking his head with his eyes closed. I look at each of their eyes a moment later to see them back to normal.

I hug Light and look at Shadow. “What happened? Are you ok?”

Shadow looks at me like I’m crazy. “I don’t know Mommy. We were just playing. Then you are here hugging Light.”

I sigh and look down at my daughter. She sighs and pulls away from me. “I was just hugging my Mommy. Where is Daddy?”

I stand up confused. “He is at Daniels. He’ll be back soon. Come eat breakfast.”

Both kids jump up and run to the table where I place the food in front of them. They both eat with perfect manners and when they are done they go back to playing in the living room.

I wait till they are busy to call James.

When James finally picks up I take a deep breath. “Something really weird just happened with both pups and I really think Daniel and Sky need to hear this. But not near the pups.”

James sighs. “Well I’ll send Patty babysit. As for Sky we can do a call if you come over to the pack house.”

I nodd. “Ok, I’ll come over there as soon as Patty gets here.”

James hangs up and I sit down in the living room and wait for Patty.

When she gets there I thank her and walk over to the pack house.

Once there I go upstairs to the Office. Daniel is in a wheel chair behind the desk and James is going through a few papers.

I tilt my head at Daniel. “Last time I saw you; you were up and walking around. What happened?”

Daniel waved as if swatting a fly. Don’t worry about me. I’m just getting old. Time isn’t my friend anymore. James, please call Sky so we can discuss what ever happened.”

James nodds and picks up the phone in the desk. After dialing he places it on speaker and sets the reviver on the desk.

Sky answers sleepily. “Hello?”

Daniel is the first to speak. “It’s Daniel, James, and Whisper. Whisper says something happened a few moments ago with the pups and said she wanted all of us to hear.”

Sky yawns. “Ok, I’m listening Whisper. What happened?”

I take a deep breath. “I was cooking and after I made plates for me and the pups, I heard something so I checked on the pups. Shadow’s eyes were black and Light’s eyes were white. Each pup whispered something before returning to normal and acting like nothing happened. I called right away.”
