~ A Year Later ~
~*Whisper’s POV*~
I sit and watch as both 12 year old kids run around in the yard. They shift into their wolves and tumble over each other.
James hands me a drink and sits on the porch next to me. “I talked to Fisk the other day. He’s doing well. Maybe even found his mate. A fox shifter named Vicky. He is still using the burning center for Diego. Daniel called me from the castle earlier as well. He is still in his wheelchair but otherwise he is healthy.”
A young man walks up to the porch and bows. “Alpha James, we have captured a rogue.”
I roll my eyes and watch as James stands up. “I’ll be back in an hour, Whisper.”
I shake my head and smile a little. “That’s what you said last time.”
James throws his hands into the air. “I’m not the one who wanted to free her then get into a fight.”
I laugh. “Just go. Don’t be late for dinner again.”
James kisses me and goes off with the man.
I shake my head and reminisce over the past year.
Sky, Celesta, and Fay each had proper burials. The kids haven’t aged a day since Fay’s death. James gained Alpha role and ends up late for every meal. Everyone else is either at the castle or running around the pack lands.
Light walks up to me in her enormous wolf form and nudges me. ‘Are you going to come play with us today?’
I smile and shift into my wolf and I begin a game of tag with my children.
~~~ I have loved writing this series. A lot changed from how I had originally planned. But you can’t control one’s life and I can’t control my books. They have a life of their own.
Hybrid and Beasts have been an experience for me to write. I do plan on starting more books and series but I believe that this series has come to an end. I cannot think of a better ending then to just leave it with everyone on a good day. But I am sad to see it end. But with every end there is a new beginning.
I hope that all of my fans and readers will comment at least once on the book. I would love to hear what you think of the series. If you wish it would’ve ended differently then comment away.
