Chapter 3 - Miki and SuYin

Talia's P.O.V

It's been about a month since Tenzin found out I am an airbender and we've all known for about a week and a half that I'm a water bender, that came as a surprise to all of us especially me and Tenzin.

For the past week I have been training with mum in the basics and soon I'll be starting training with Kya. Uncle Sokka will be coming here for a week to stay with us, he is bringing Auntie Suki and Miki with him. I can't wait to see Miki again, it's been 3 years!!!

"Go find Kya sweetie" mum said doing up my hair.

"Ok mum" as she finished my hair, I ran out the room and found Kya. Kya was nice to me because I wasn't dad's precious little airbender but furthermore I was a water bender like her, Bumi and Kya were mean to Tenzin but he didn't show it, I've only seen/heard it once. She led me outside where we all were waiting for Uncle Sokka. His ship soon docked, and they came onto the island.

"You've grown since the last time I saw you" Suki said rubbing my hair. She picked me up and put my face level with her face and I laughed. She put me down. I picked up some water with my bending into snow ball and I shot it at Uncle Sokka's face.

"Don't tell me have magic water too!" He says as he bent down to my level. I ran and hid behind Kya laughing innocently.

"Hello Katara" Sokka said greeting his sister in a hug walking over smiling brightly as always.

"Stay clear of the cliffs!" Mum called over to us as we started to run off to go have fun away from the boring adults.

"We will" I ran with Miki, we ran off and asked Tenzin if he wanted to play tag with us. Mum told us that Toph was coming with Lin and SuYin tomorrow. I think it's all to celebrate dad's birthday in two days. I can't wait, I think Tenzin has a thing for Lin but I don't know, and shush I didn't say anything. Lin is so nice but Sue on the other hand! She always makes fun of me, she's a year and a half older than me, I don't like Sue!

After I showed Miki her room we went outside to find Lin, funnily enough Tenzin was there waiting for her. Miki, Tenzin, Lin, Sue and I all played hide and seek-tag around the island, we agreed that we could use bending to delay not to attack. I hid down by the shore behind a group of rocks, I knew Lin and maybe Sue could use basic seismic sense so I used my airbending to feel the air around me where I couldn't see with my eyes, something I had been working on, I figured that flying just above the earth would be cheating.
After some time, I decided to move hiding places, I followed the path up the cliff, holding some water for offensive or defensive. I found Tenzin, he said that Lin was it and that she had found Sue. That only left me, Tenzin and Sue. We decided to hide up in a tree and watch out for the others.
Soon we thought it was time to be adventurous and go find them. Soon we found the parents all talking not far from where we were all playing. We weren't far from the cliff.

"Tenzin do you know where they are?" I whispered to him, knowing where they were would be a great advantage to avoiding them.

"No, but I think Sue's over there" he said pointing in the general direction.

"You go that way I'll go this way we'll get them of guard" I suggested still whispering.

"Ok, 1, 2, 3, go!" He said as we jumped from the branches we were hiding on.

We ran over and Sue was indeed there, I ran along the edge of the cliff and slipped I grab a branch or root I wasn't quite sure what it was, but that wasn't important, so I didn't fall to my immediate death. I screamed and Sue came over.

"Grab my hand Talia!" Sue called down to me as she tried to reach over the cliff.

"I - I can't reach!!" I stuttered shakily trying to reach, I really didn't want to reveal my airbending, not now.
