Chapter 31 - The Tree of Time

Talia's POV

We were walking back, my guess was to the portals. I was between Bumi and Kya, Tenzin was behind us with Jinora. Suddenly I felt weak, my knees gave out and i fell to the floor, i gasped, something within me felt weird. Kya and Bumi crouched down besides me when Jinora stopped and turned around, we all looked at her, she was looking the other way "The world's in trouble" she said still looking the other way, I nodded 

Tenzin looked at her "What are you talking about? How do you know?" he questioned 

"I can feel it" was her simple response. 

Bumi stood up looking over more, "What happened?" he asked simply.

I nodded, shifting to stand up with Kya's help. "It's Raava"  I said at the same time as Jinora said "It's Korra"

Jinora turned back to us as i leant against Kya her arm around me helping me stay up. She took one of the light spirits from her soulder and held it out to Tenzin "This light spirit will help guide you out of the spirit world" a blue glow appeared around her "I have to go help" She faded slowly. 

Tenzin jumped forward his hand outstretched"Jinora, wait!" he said quickly. Kya gaped as she faded, i smiled, she had a strong conection, like me, possibly more so. 

I still felt a bit weak, something bad happened to Raava, I could feel it, there was a disconnection from the small essence of her I had within me.

We arrived back to the portals, me floating as my knees felt like they may gave out again if I put my weight on them, the others had walked through the portal already, it was the one I had originally came through. I hesitated  hadn't been back in the material world for a while obviously. I hovered in front of the portal for a while, not moving. Suddenly Tenzin walked through carrying Korra bridal style followed by Bumi holding two boys fireman style with kya next to him. I gasped floating back a bit as I watched them place Korra and the two boys in the water. 

Kya began healing them, using the spirit water, the glow going in a beam across the three of them. I stood next to Tenzin slightly gripping his shoulder, floating behind him. Korra gasped sitting up followed by one boy then the other. "Thank goodness you're all okay" Tenzin said, walking forward as Korra stood up. 

"Did you find Jinora?" Korra questioned as Tenzin offered a hand to her

"I was able to rescue her soul, but she wasn't ready to return to her body yet." Tenzin answered helping Korra out the water "She sensed the world was in grave danger" I gently floated to the ground, lowering my feet and landing gently, I was good to stand.

Korra looked down, stepping away from Tenzin to the side "She was right" She sat down on some rocks. 

Tenzin turned to her "Were you able to stop Unalaq and Vaatu?" he questioned, i already knew the answer to that I felt it already.

"No" was Korra's simple answer "They fused and then Vaatu ripped Raava right out of me and destroyed her" she looked down "Vaatu won" I looked away, I could feel that the essence of raava I had within me had been disconnected from it origin. 

The boy who had a slight green outline to his over-coat cried out "No! I'm too young to live through 10,000 years of darkness." his hands lowered slightly "Korra, can't you talk to one of your past lives or something" I looked in his direction. 

I turned to him "When Vatuu destroyed Raava, he destroyed her connection to the past avatars too" I said simply with a sad tone, saying it before Korra "I felt the broken connection from the essence within me to the main spirit within Korra as it was destroyed " I answered their looks.
