Talia's POV
After flying, and what I like to call spirit zapping or teleportation (basically where I can go to nay desired location within the spirit world if I concentrate hard enough), I made my way to the library.
When I reached the library I flew in and landed in the middle. I had been to the spirit library on many previous occasions, and always greeted the old spirit kindly, and subsequently he always allowed me free access to his library on the condition that I did not remove any artefacts or scrolls from the library. I waited as always for Wan Shi Tong to appear as he normally would when someone entered his library, however this time it was different, he did not show up. I heard a male voice talking to Wan Shi Tong over near one of the isles created by the book cases, he seemed to be showing him to someone, another visitor perhaps. This man's spirit energy seemed to be similar to mine, as in he was physically here. That could only mean one thing, he came here the same way i did. But he didn't seem to have a bright spirit like me, it was almost dark, tainted or faded. I did not like him one bit.
I approached the direction where I heard them, I peeked around the corner of the aisle, I saw a girl. She was in airbending clothes like me, she was either an airbender or an acolyte, I had never seen her before, so most likely an acolyte. She looked up from the page on the book she was reading, then she said something to the dragon-fly-bunny spirit next to her. I heard the man's footsteps approaching and turned invisible as a precaution.
"Leaving so soon?" he rhetorically questioned in a sarcastic tone, as the he walked into the aisle with Wan Shi Tong. "When Wan Shi Tong told me he head a visitor. I had to see it with my own eyes" the Man continues. He continued to say something but I walked around the aisle edge away from them, to the other end of the aisle they were in. I floated slightly off the ground to avoid creating footsteps. I approached the end of the aisle at the other end, behind Wan Shi Tong and his friend.
I gently touched down on the ground poking my head around the corner again so I could see what was going on and not draw too much attention to my self as I was now behind them. "Better than you" The girl said in a strong voice, certain of her opinion, to what it was i don't know "Wan Shi Tong, How can you be helping him?" She asked trying to wrap her head around the spirits decision.
"Unalaq" so that was the man's name "has proven to be a true friend to the spirits, unlike the Avatar" the spirit answered. Talia narrowed her eyes suspiciously, she was confused slightly.
The girl leant forward slightly "Why would wanna help Vaatu escape?" She said defensively, I gasped Vaatu? the Dark spirit I first encountered when arriving in the spirit world, the girl continued "He'll destroy everything"
The man next to Wan Shi Tong stepped forward "Don't believe everything you read" he continued walking towards her. "Why don't you come with me. So you can do some first hand research" I didn't like the sound of that I slowly stepped around the corner so I could be in full view.
The girl gasped and stepped back into her dragon-fly bunny friend. However, it turned dark and larger like some of my other friends did not too long ago. My eyes went wide "Leave her alone!" I called out from behind Wan Shi Tong. The man, Unalaq, and Wan Shi Tong Turned around to me, as well as the girl.
"Talia, how kind of you to join us" Wan Shi Tong said menacingly. I gasped and quickly darted around the Owl like spirit towards the girl. I was Air Nomad clothes, with my tattoos out.
"Another air bender?" Unalaq said intriguingly as he grabbed the red shawl of my top holding me back.
"Let. Me. Go." I said looking towards the girl, she was around my age.
Unalaq chuckled "And what is a little girl like you going to do without any bending" I smirked still looking the girl, I smiled kindly to her.
"This" I twisted and kicked some air towards him. He recovered quickly.
"How" he growled at me. I didn't answer, I couldn't answer it myself anyway. I shrugged standing in a defensive stance, my back to the bookcase. Unalaq in front of me, Wan Shi Tong to my left, and the girl and the dark Dragon-Fly Bunny to my right. Unalaq stood in a stance drawing some water out of his pouch. He did a head movement towards the girls companion, and it started to squeeze her., she cried out. "Give in, and the girl may live" he said to me, the spirit continuing to squeeze. I looked quickly between Unalaq and the girl. If I didn't give in, she may die, and I don't want that, I don't even know her name. I relaxed.
"Fine" I sighed defeated. I was suddenly bound by water, it was purple though and in a spiral motion, and the grip the spirit had on the girl stopped constricting her. I had never seen this before. "Ugh" I cried out. Another spirit flew in from the main entrance, it too was dark and it came and restricted me like the girl, the water disappearing back to the man. My head was down, I couldn't save the girl and had gotten my self captured. Why though? why had this happened, what was this leading too.
